  1. Thanks! My surgery is in 2 days and that information is very helpful.
  2. My surgery date is fast approaching and I'm curious if anyone can compare the pain levels after the sleeve to the pain after the lap band. Thanks!
  3. I had my band in 2011 and I did well until about March 2013. Eventually in October we found out that my port was no longer connected to my lap band and needed to have revision surgery. I had the revision surgery, but got pregnant soon after so I never got it filled. After my pregnancy I finally got a fill. When I went back a month later, she had trouble giving me a fill and said I needed to have more surgery. I do not feel much restriction and I am wondering why there is a problem with getting a fill? Anyone else with this problem?
  4. Hi all. I started to have this pain on my left side under my ribs when I breathe. I am 2 years out from surgery and my last fill was early June. I haven't had any problems until yesterday. I took some mylanta in case it was gas, but now I have the pain in my side with some acid reflux. Any ideas? I can eat and drink fine.
  5. Thanks for the replies. I called them back today and they got me in to take out the fill. I never thought water would taste so good!
  6. I am miserable. The water went down ok at the doc's office on Tuesday, but ever since I can tolerate nothing. Water, shakes, and everything else seems to come right back up. I have heartburn all the time. I called the doc's office yesterday and they can't get me in until Tuesday (I asked if I went to the ER if they could unfill me, but she said no). I am afraid of becoming dehydrated since I am not getting much water in. Is there something I can do until Tuesday to help me? I am starting to feel light-headed and shaky.
  7. I had my surgery on July 20, 2011. I was filled twice, a total of 6 cc's. I felt restriction for the first two months after the second fill, but now it's different. I don't feel full or satisfied. I eat more than what is recommended by my surgeon. I thought I found the green zone, but now it's like the opposite. Is it time for another fill?
  8. They are doing another fill that quickly? I was banded on 7/20, had a fill 8/10. I still feel no restriction. Do you feel any different after this fill?
  9. I had surgery July 20th. After 2 weeks I lost 9 lbs. The next two weeks I gained a pound. I thought this was odd because I wasn't overeating and I wasn't eating anything I wasn't supposed to. So I got a fill of 2 cc's after four weeks. I feel about the same as I did before, but I am down another 6 pounds. I am not hungry that often, but I don't feel much restriction when I eat. After how many fills will I need to feel restriction?
  10. Hi everyone. I was banded July 20 and just had my first fill on August 16. I still don't feel much restriction, but I do get "satisfied" faster with food. I have lost 14 lbs since surgery, 28 total.
  11. Thanks everyone. I talked to someone today and they said to wait one more week and if it doesn't go away they will put me on iron pills.
  12. Just wondering if any other female's period has changed after surgery? I was extremely regualr before surgery, with short periods. Then one week after surgery my period began (it wasn't supposed to) and it's been going on for 20 days. I talked to my nurse about it and she didn't seemed concerned. Any thoughts?
