  1. Hello every one. I'm newly sleeved 3 weeks ago yesterday. I'm still new at this and still have my doubts that i made the right decision.
  2. Do the Drs say sugar free so we don't drink our calories or is it easier on the tummy??? I hate sugar free stuff..
  3. My Dr said two weeks out to start eggs any style, but I agree.. It'd hard. For me it feels like i ate a rock. I make a soft cooked scrambled egg. I was told to mix a little water instead of milk. Cottage cheese even hurts. I figure things will get better with time..i hope
  4. Jayne . My Dr told me at two weeks i can start eggs, any style..cottage cheese.. String cheese.. Broths..jellos.. He said for me not to have any protein shakes or bars. He said right now he is not concerned for me to start vitamins either, until he sees me at the one month mark. I don't understand either why do different Drs have different rules. My Co worker has the sleeve and she was started on protein shakes the day after surgery. She takes muscle milk. I was told muscle milk is bad as the iron levels can be to toxic to us.
  5. Christi.. That was me. The contrast was horrible. But by the next day i was in the icu ward. Don't remember too much. I think i was slipping into a coma. This procedure kicked my butt
  6. Christie..yes i forgot about the upper gi..omg.. I thought i was going to pee all over the floor. I would gag and pee, sorry for the tmi.. Not very nice. Wow..65 lbs..EXCELLENT!!! The last time I was weighed, u was told i weighed 220. I see my Dr next Friday, curious to see what the scale says but I'm sure its no where near your accomplishment.. Good girl!!!!
  7. I'm three weeks out tomorrow I'm only allowed soft eggs, any style. But no meat. String cheese, jello, broth etc.. And my doc said absolutely no protein shakes or bars. I don't get it. I have talked with other people and they started shakes the next day after surgery. Hum.. I wonder why the difference
  8. What can you eat at this point. My doc says broths, jellos, eggs any style, cottage cheese, string cheese, decaf tea. I was told absolutely no protein shakes or bars. I'm eating and drinking like a bird.
  9. Hello everyone. Im a lap band conversion to sleeve person. Had too many issues with the lap band, so they removed it Sept 28. I was excited to get the sleeve but this procedure almost killed me. I had my procedure and was out of the surgery center within 5 hrs of when surgery started. Is it just me or is that the norm. Two days later, i was admitted into ICU for sever dehydration. At that point i had lost 13 lbs in two days. All i can say is i hope i made the right decision for me, but still teeter on thinking i messed up. Would i do this surgery again if i had to.. NO WAY!! This surgery was very hard on me. Tomorrow I'm three weeks out, how are people feeling at this point, and what are you eating.
