  1. i was also banded on the 27th..i am feeling the same way, but i went for it...i am regretting that i did it now, i have to be on Clear liquids for a week then full liquids for another week. with the liver shrinking diet and a few days after surgery i lost around 35lbs, and that know one in there right mind can say that's healthy....i really don't know how i can survive on 3= 4oz meals a day...and these were questions i ask the doctor or nurse and not 1 reasonable answer!!! thanks cliff.
  2. Hi my name is Cliff, i just had the lapband yesterday 01/27/11, boy what a experience. But any way i feel real bad cramp on my left side of my stomach, not really feeling like gas, just real bad cramps. bad enough to make you double up they hurt so bad..any ideals...? thanks cliff
  3. hey there, i am on the pre-op protein diet "liver shrinking" it sucks, but have to do it!!! BUT MY MAIN CONCERN IS I HAVE NO ENERGY, I HUNT ALOT AND WENT OUT YESTERDAY AND COULD NOT MAKE IT ALL DAY. VERY DISAPPOINTED, WILL THAT ENERGY LEVEL EVER COME BACK AFTER SURGERY? 11TH PRE-OPT........ THANKS CLIFF,
  4. i had Eatna and did the 6 months, i weighed 314 lbs, i could go down to 275 and no lighter, i also had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, but i only lost around 10 lbs. and on the last weigh in i gained 4 back. and was approved in 10 days max...!
  5. WoW they just sent it yesterday, you can't expect a answer over night. give them some time to go through all the paper work and notes, they might not be working on it right away they go in order,. Aetna will send you several letters for different approvals,Hospital stay, lab work and then the surgery....i think it took me about 10 days to get the letters of approvals..G00D LUCK!!!!
  6. hey there, im just amazed by all the great responses, all of them were great thanks so much. i will probably 100% go with the band over anything else, like for sum of y'all said, it's all the love and support that helps you get through the difficult times...surgery date is still schedule for 1/27/2011. but with all the support i will get through the emotional part of it... well thanks alot for y'all input and info. take care and good luck. thanks again. cliff
  7. Hi there,i also posted this in the men forum, but no responses, this is my first post. i have a surgery date for the lap band on 01/27/2011, i just went to a post op meeting, and that most of the people there had the Gastric bypass or the Sleeve, i currently weigh 314lbs and 6' 2'' and would love to be down around 200lbs. but with that said the group didn't talk very highly about the lap band, that it is the hardest way to lose weight and easier to gain weight, and that very few will keep it of.. they were telling us future banders. go with the sleeve, now im really confused, thinking i might be making the wrong decision.. did y'all men or women go through this guessing game too??? thanks cliff
