Can the FB group be changed to Secret instead of Closed? I know a lot of people want their choice for surgery to stay private. I'm too afraid to join a non-secret group.

I'd second that request

I can't find the group. Maybe it's too secret now. Lol.

Can you please send me a request? On Facebook I'm Delilah Nelson

Thanks for changing it! It will be harder to join now though. I think whoever is in charge will have to add us.

Fair_Maidan, I'm going to PM you my email and I think you can send me an invite. I hope this isn't too much of a pain!

Send me a invite please Nini Jackson

I'd like an invite too. Alicia Hollister. Same pic

Hi again,

It looks like I can only invite my friends to secret groups on Facebook. For that reason I've changed the group backed to closed and updated the name and description to be just generically named July. There is no mention WLS so we look like a completely random group. If you have snoopy friends, they will see you belong to the group but will not see any posts. The link below will work so you can request to be added.

I've sent friend requests to some of you who have previously commented and can add you to the group that way as well. I just don't think it's right for me to force you to be my friend just so u can be in the group. ( I do however always like new friends :)

What you see when you click the link is the most your friends will see. If you're okay with it, we'd love to have you aboard :)

Sent a request to join.

I am glad to be on my last day of liquid diet. I go in for surgery on Tuesday at Bryn Mawr Hospital with Dr. Richard Ing. I am excited. I am nervous about pain after surgery and obviously not looking forward to the two weeks of liquid post-op. I know it is all for the sake of my long term heath, which I obviously want.

I just hope that I will reach a point where I can enjoy a single piece of pizza again. Not a whole pie like I used to and certainly not on a regular basis. I have started eating better as part of the pre-op program and actually enjoy tracking with MFP and my Fitbit. I guess after two weeks of nothing but these horrible shakes I find myself missing real food. I know I will eat again and that I will enjoy food in a new and healthy way. Right now I just have pre-surgey jitters.

Thanks for letting me share.

Scott
