I had mine a week ago. You guys can ask me any questions. ¡Muy Buena surte! But I had the band.

So.... How much did it hurt?
I was able to walk around and eventually out of the hospital under my own power with no wheelchair like 6 hours after the surgery started. In and out. I was in pain for a few days afterward, but I avoided the heavy duty meds the gave me and took children's Tylenol and gas X. The only pain I really felt was the incision sites and a little gas.

I had the band surgery. The other surgeries may be different.

Wow that makes me feel better! Thanks :)

Hey, I'm July 24 in Atlanta. Anybody using Bariatric Advantage pre-surgery diet and vitamin recomendations? I think I'm gonna use them.My doc is kinda vague, like 'protein, no carbs'.

Bariatric Advantage is my required by my doctor. I start my pre-op diet on the 14 and surgery on the 30th.

Today starts my pre-op liquid/liver reduction diet. My surgery isJuly 13th so 10 more days! I just hope I can get through this liquid phase!

July 14th - super excited! I start my 1-week pre-op diet on the 7th.

I am pretty lucky - I pretty much just follow similar to South Beach (max 900 cal, 30 carbs, 10 fat grams). The day before surgery is Clear liquids only.

Stocking up on shakes, Isopure (?) and broth/miso to use for both pre and post op.

Please keep us posted as you go - we will all be dying for info! I will try to hop on and report as soon as able as well.

Duh - just realized I missed some of the reports already posted.

Am new to forums and a bit dinosaurish so please excuse this and many more future goofs

10 more days yay! What are you planning to drink for liquids? I am also nervous about the liquid phase. My surgery is on the 29th.

I have to do 4 protein shakes a day that I'm mixing with unsweetened almond milk, sugar free clears (popsicles, jello) sugar free gum, fat free broths, 1/2 cup non strachy veggies a day for chewing. I plan to mix them with my broth to make "soup"

Good luck with your surgery!

That's a great idea. Are you hungry so far? What Protein powder did you end up getting? I like the synthrax nectar fuzzy navel. I am looking for an unflavored one for Soups or Jello. Good luck with your surgery too. I may check back in w u post op to see how it went? (If that's ok). I have like no pain tolerance and am quite scared. I've had a c section before wonder if it hurts more, less, or the same with this?

I'm from Naples :)
