I have 8cc in my 14cc band. Lately I have been sticking if i eat something too fast/not chew it well enough..I have lost 3 more lbs since my last office visit-2 weeks ago...I am happy but this weight loss is really slow..I get very gassy at times..beware! lol...People I work with told me that my face looks smaller,but I have this tire in the middle that I need to get rid of..I have been eating oatmeal in the morning for breakfast and sometimes I eat cereal as a snack..I am going to the gym 3 times a week for an hour a day..My energy is really good..I am drinking alot of fluids so I feel like I live in the bathroom..I take my vitamins every day and my energy level is great...:cursing:

Hello All my weakness is the weekends because I am out and about..sometimes dining out and making the right decisions is tuff...do I want the buffet or should i make dinner at home?! LOL..Its tough..sometimes when at work i get bored and wanna munch on stuff...ok there is goes!

A new woman/// good morning..I feel your pain because i had the band surgery in august 2007 and because my mother passed away i deviated from the whole thing..i waited until 12.2008 to get back on track..i am down 30 lbs now..i have 8cc in my band..my band holds 14cc..i get stuck sometimes but for the most part i dont eat alot..i drink more to get over my cravings..good luck!

Hello All!! I had a fill yesterday so now i have 8cc in 14cc band.. Honestly I am not thrilled about this..I bascially saw the doctors office 2 weeks ago & I maintained my weight.. With that said I will have to try harder..I am not disappointed just not happy about the situation either... One day at a time I guess

Good Morning I have bcbs insurance and I dont require an auth to have fills done..they bill an office surgery and its paid 100%..only thing I have to pay is $20 copay..hmmm doesnt sound right

Hello.. I have 2 disc herniations in my back and my chiro was suggesting cortizone shots in my back..do they hurt? pleae be honest..I dont exersize as hard as I should because I dont want it to be really bad..I do alot of walking and sometimes the treadmill..I dont take ibupohen so i dont know much about it..probabaly not good to take too much of anything.

Yeah I think it was what I was eating and I how fast I was eating it.... I will be ok..i didnt wanna vomit too hard to make it slip..

I am at my third adjustment...i have a 14cc band and i have 7.5 cc...i feel perfect!! i feel fuller longer :thumbup: i havent gotten stuck yet

lynnie what diet are u following? are u drinking alot of Water and exersizing??

Hello All I just got adjusted to 7.5 cc today and I will let u know what makes me stick my band holds 14 cc..

I am not sorry that I got the surgery I am 29 years old with a 2 year old daughter..the thought of being diabetic or dying from heart failure from obesity scares the shit out of me..I am battling this daily!! I am determined to take control on my life...and if want to eat a chicken salad from burger king I will..because all week long i am following the meal plan..!!!

Hi Everyone I hope everyone is doing ok here.. I am down 18 lbs since 1.28.09 & I mentally feel like i am going no where. I am not sure why but feel like this. I am getting weighed today at 2pm with my surgeon's office. I will need a fill because i dont feel alot of restriction.In the morning I feel a little tight but thats it..I try not to eat and drink at the same time but its so hard... Any suggestions?? I am in funk right now:tongue_smilie:

Hello I am getting my 3rd fill tommorow I have a 10 cc band with 6.5 cc in it and dont feel restriction..Everyone is different

Good Morning Everyone's experience with bariatric surgery is different.. My mother died 7.19.2007 because she was malnutritioned from having the gastric bypass.. She was 59 years old..lost over 200 lbs in 13 months.. So with this said everyone is truly different..I myself personally have the lap band and it seems slower in terms of weight loss but I felt that it was safer..they didnt cut and stitch and all of this other stuff.. Good morning I was under the impression that the Lap Band is intended for life..They say (my surgeon's office) that if someone is having alot of problems they can have it repaired/replaced or removed.. my office where I go to get fills uses xray to they can see where the port is and they dont damage it..I hope this helps..

Hello...good morning I have been a splenda user for several years and I dont have problems with it...sometimes i get gassy/bloated but everyones system is different Now that you are on a liquid diet...try these..its what I use.. crystal light--raspberry ice/fruit punch/lemonade archer farms sugar free blueberry tea (found at target) EAS Soy Protein Powder(vanilla/chocolate found at walmart) Powerade (the one that has no carbs/no sugar-walmart!!)
