Sleeved 7/28 can't get protein in either only I shake a day it makes me too full and uncomfortable then I get nautious if I try to sip it and feels like it's going to come up, anyone with any suggestions?

I have good luck with toddler sippy cups for protein shakes. Make a mark @ 2oz.... Measure out and that is a 15 minute portion.... Keep it beside me and sip sip sip.

Hi how is your weight loss with the sleeve I am scheduled to have it done on Tuesday but now I'm thinking about the gastric bypass because most people are saying it has better results please let me know

Thank you!

I am 14 days post op last time I checked I was down 12 pounds. For the first week I was having spasms after every drink so I would take the medication the doctor gave me and that helps. That stuck feeling for me tends to occur now when I take to big of a drink. It takes a minute for it to trickle down and the pressure to go away.

Cdominguez, I thought about the bypass also but then I looked at the possible side effects and the possibility of malnutrition from now absorbing as much. I kinda weight the pros and cons of all surgery and choose to go with the sleeve. As of right now I have no complaints.

1 week post-op and I feel awesome, I'm about 98% back to normal. Down 14 pounds since surgery and 39 since starting my journey. :)

I was sleeved 7/22, down 14.5

If you look at the more recent research, the sleeve and the bypass have almost the same results 2 years out. It is a personal choice so make sure you do all your research and decide that is good for you. Everyone is different.

Hello! Thanks for asking! Well I'm 8 days post op. The first bit was miserable! But I'm feeling better. Walking, trying so hard to get my 64 oz in and all my protein - I'm close!! I have less pain when I swallow. But when I walk I have a pain way down low in my left lower quadrant of my "second" belly lol. Maybe I need a support I dunno. I am way better though. Go back to work on Monday. Lost 27 lbs from the preop week of liquids and this first week post op. Yay! 200 left lol

Great news each day will get easier! Keep it up !! Keep in touch on progress and I will too!

Hey gang--just checking in. Congrats to those who finished us out in July. I just hit 2 weeks and 3 days--I'm at a stall---anyone else hit that first stall in week 2?

Hello all I'm 23 days out ( sleeved on July 14 th) I feel so much better than the first couple of weeks post op. 2 issues tho. Ive been on my period for 2 weeks and my BMs are only once a week. I'm still on a full liquid diet until Aug 9th so I hoping things will get back to being regular for me. Other than that no pain.

Also for the first couple of weeks I haven't had much of an appetite. And I've been slacking on my liquids. Everything I attempted to drink made me nauseous. I have a low tolerance for sugar free foods. They make me cough up phelgm eww I know. But this past couple of days I've force myself to drink more
