Thoughts

So, it's 5am and I'm on the forums...

I was just thinking about a previous doctor's appointment and I would love to share it with you.

Back in June 2010, I went to see my surgeon. Well, there was this nurse and she was taking all of my vitals and etc.

She asked me, "How tall are you?"

I replied, 5' 5"

She said, "Really, stand up against this wall."

So she measured me and she said, "You are 5' 3 3/4."

"No way, measure me again please."

And once again, I am 5' 3 3/4"

Well, on my October 15th pysical, I got measured again and this time I am now 5' 3"

"Are you joking?"

Well, it's offical--- I am 5' 3"

I told her that everytime I come here, I keep getting shorter...She laughed...lol

So it's true, I am not fat---I'm just short.

Enjoy your day ...

When I played basketball in high school the coaches would always say I was 5'7 on the roster, I guess to make the other teams think I was taller. I was actually 5'3.5....or so I thought. I just went to the docter this past Friday and I was 5'4.5....I guess I got an inch taller having lost almost 20 pounds! I really do think that the thinner we get the taller we look....maybe it is because we are less "round"!!!

I too lost height... I always said I was 5'10" and with all the med testing and stuff my height was all over the place. One nurse finally said lets use the OFFICIAL measuring device at the office. She took me into a back room and there it was. I took off the shoes and got on. 5'8 3/4" Maybe being fat all these years have squashed me down? More surface for gravity to affect? LOL... a little...

Well I don't know about YOU ladies, but I saw on Oprah that for every 30lbs a man loses he gains an inch back!! LMAO!! I'm down almost 45lbs pre-op so I've got an inch and a half back! I checked!! HAHAHAHA

Uh oh! Christina is gonna yell at me again! LOL

Please don't take any offense! I'm just kidding. I'm hoping that someone who is having a bad day of recovery will at least get a smile out of this.

Are you sure she was talking about hight.......I heard you guys gain it back in another area......Lol

Ummm, I'm still 5'9 so I KNOW I wasn't talking about height! :D :D Nuff said. LOL

Yeah, and what's with this Three Quarters stuff? I'm 5'5 and three quarters... I just put 5'6... I'm not going to do all that "almost" garb.

Funny too though, I always put that I was 5'7 all my life, up until I was about to have my band surgery when they broke the news to me - that I'm actually fatter than I originally thought.

Funny! I was actually 5'6 fprever...presently 5.5 25" lol
