Hello everyone. Found out my surgery date is September 23. Seems so real now. It's been a long 6 months to get here. I'm so excited.....

That's exactly what you should be doing. Enjoying yourself. I was trying to get away myself but it wasn't able to happen.

My first day here , I get blistered, but 2 says after that I slather on 50 spf to keep a tan. I am not burning or complaining of burning, bur I keep myself hydrated the whole time.

That's what you have to do. Just relax and enjoy your stay.

Since my breast cancer is estrogen positive I needed to do something about my weight and that's when i decided on surgery after many failed attempts of doing it on my own. My preop appointment is on September 5, preop diet starts on September 12 and surgery is on September 23.

Thank you so much for the well wishes. I'm very excited. I'm sure as the date gets closer I will be nervous but for now I'm ok trying to just enjoy what's left of summer. ?

Thank you. Have you had your surgery yet?

I am either Sep 3 or 4. Currentky the 4th but the person scheduled for the 3rd cancelled and I am next in line so I might get moved up

I know me too. It feels like I've been going through this forever since my insurance had 6 months of requirements before they would approve.

Me too, I started the process 2and 1/2 years ago, and have been going up and down to the hospital ever since , and to other clinics . It was cancelled last November -due to missing instruments! - the mind boggles ! then cancelled again on 25th July because of extreme heat , and I finally just had it on 12 th August . I still can’t believe it’s done ! Good luck mom, you’ll. feel great when its done :-) Youre on the road to your new life!
