November Surgery

Hi everyone! I am new, planning for RNY in November. I live in NC - anyone else?

How long are you all planning to be out of work? I work at a desk job and I feel like I might be able to work from home for part of he recovery time. What are y''all planning on doing?

I have surgery on the 14th!! Planning on taking around 10 days off. I have a desk job and managing the liquids and all that won't be difficult.

I am getting the sleeve on 11/21. ?

Hi I'm new to the site and would love to be a part of the November calendar and become buddies with one another, as we start this journey. My surgery date is November 19.

Hello! I’m also in North Carolina. Sleeve scheduled for 11/25. I’m taking a week off of work. I’m a high school administrator so I’m a little nervous that won’t be enough but that’s my plan for now.

Mines the 25th also I’m nervous too

This sh*t is getting REAL, y'all! I had my final preop visit yesterday and right now I am a go for Nov 20. That's in 11 days!! I'm freekin and happy at the same time. The nutritionist gave me my eating plan and they only make you do clear liquids one week, so THAT'S good...

November 22 for me - having the bypass. Planning to take two weeks

Hey there Bill! Good luck to you also on the liquid diet. I'm on Day 6, and it does get easier....well a little. I just drown the cravings in water!!

Thanks GothGal .i just got back from my pre-op today and started my liquid diet.I actually get to have a Lean Cusine under 400 calories for my dinners .

I'm having a gastric sleeve on Nov 26th in Tijuana. I only have a 3 day pre-op diet of clear liquids and protein shakes, so I won't be starving for 2 weeks like most of you have. I see most of you have had your surgery already. How did it go? How do you feel? I plan on taking a week off before returning to work....anyone having a hard time recuperating?
