If things go right for me I am looking at getting my sleeve done in December! In November I will have my last NUT visit to complete the 6 months supervised, I will have my release from my cardiologist, and have my pysch evaluation done. Also in November we will be doing my upper endoscopy and if that goes well everything will be submitted to my insurance and the hope is to get approved in time for December surgery.

Some people think I am nuts for considering the surgery in December but I think it will just keep me from gaining the normal Holiday 10.

Any suggestions or thoughts on this?

My thoughts of surgery are all consuming. I seriously don't go an hour with out thinking of it, talking about it, or googling it. I have looked at hundreds of before and after... Looked plastics and a hundred little things that pop up in my head. I tell myself to chill out but knowing I have 40 days until surgery scares me to no end. I want to know it all! Lol I'm a bit of a control freak and it's really showing.

Let's message each constantly! Srsly. My surgery is 50 days away and we give each other tips, ask questions, and be control freaks together!

@@sbrainwater you summed it up. I was too tickled reading your post. What I have tried to do is take a break from researching any information in regards to the procedure because my "what ifs" kick in. My surgery date is December 8th and the closer it gets the more my emotions run wild. Wishing everyone the best!!!!

After insurance approval, I was able to schedule 5 days later. The soonest date they had was 9 weeks away. Only 4 more weeks to go for me!

I've done everything possible to get my sleeve an now the cardiologist is saying they lost my clearance an now have to get another one my sleeve date is Dec 10 I'm so aggravated I can't think straight .... Anyone know how long it takes for insurance to approve u

@ sirah don't get discouraged, everything will be just fine....it took my insurance 2 days 2 approve. But insurance policies r different, so it varies!

I'm trying not to I just didn't know what else to do I've done everything an they are just dragging their feet

I am nervous(I've had surgery before, but anesthesia is always worrisome; I am only mildly worried about pain; concerned about my diabetes and how it's going to react to my new sleeve(I am a type-1 diabetic on an insulin pump); and also about hair loss as I already have fine, thinning hair although I hear as long as I get all of my Protein and fluids, it SHOULD be minimal-per my NUT). Other than that, lol, I am super excited and ready for the next stage of my life, hopefully a healthier, thinner stage!????
