Hey, just wanted put a thread out there for us Houston Texan bandsters.

I know I'm one! Anyone else out there in bandland dwelling in Houston or the surrounding area? Maybe we could have a Big O'l Texas Bash one day!

You know how us Texans like to do things BIG!

O.K., we're talking Galveston, right? With one overnight stay? November 13 and 14, 2004? And people are o.k. w/ that length of drive? Do you need me to go down and actually look at some beach houses before committing? And reporting back to you on them? How many people? How big a house is needed? Which end of the beach do you prefer? East or West Side? Waterfront house? Pedestrian Beach or Driving Beach Access? Please let me know. I could go down Monday or Tuesday (11-1 or 11-2).

Will there be anyone smoking in the beach house?

Because of asthma, I need to avoid smokers and houses that have been smoked in. Not trying to be a prude here.

Marie - My sister-in-law is the same way, smoke really causes problems for her. I use to smoke, but I quit back in 1992.

okay ladies lets just make this simple one night on the beach with friends no biggie I agree no-smoking inside but there is usually balconies and the air will be great. the 13th is great I am already planning that date it will be too hard for me after that. And galveston is great fun so just staying around there is fine for me. The main thing is that we can see each other and with the cabin we can all be together maybe I can bring some games and I also have a kareoke machine lol. Can't wait to see you all especially my Vegas roomie Leatha.

Hey yall, just wondering if we should create another thread titled "details on galveston bash" - maybe it will attract more from the area??? just wondering...

Sounds good Ginny, So far we have Me, Ginny, Betty, and Leatha staying over. Anyone else? Thats enough to reserve one of the beach homes. Question is do we want one that sleep 6 or 8 so if your intrested in staying over let us know so I can get the right sized one. I'll call Monday (tomorrow) to see if if we can reserve now.

Marie your such a giving person! If you don't mind I might take you up on that offer of looking at the beach houses for us to make sure it's a clean smokefree place and good location. Do you live near Galveston? I don't want to make you go out there if your not local.

You can view these beach homes A the web site I mentioned in an earler post on this thread. (I forgot already) It shows a few inside views and 1 outside view on each one. It also tells you the location. The one thats caught my eye is on Stewarts Beach for 110.00 a night sleeps 6. I'm not sure where the Hideaway is but it's 99.00 a night and sleeps 6? I think.

Well, i'm getting excited! Being with you ladies will be enough fun for me I'm not so concerned with the other things like site seeing. But I'm game for anything (almost)

Sounds great to me! I'm like Lisa, I'm really not hard to keep entertained. I just enjoy the visiting, etc. I'm sure Galveston has some great restaurants, etc, there close, also.

Just tell me where to be and when to show up. I don't smoke anymore, either.
