Second Thoughts

I'm scheduled to have my surgery in just 3 days and I'm having second thoughts...is this normal? I miss food. I miss eating. I'm worried that after the surgery I will feel unsatisfied with food, that I'll always be wanting to eat more even though my body says no. I'm worried that 1 year from now (or 2 or 4 or hell even 10 years from now) that I'll still feel like I want to eat more.

I am glad to see that I'm not the only one who was having second thoughts! They called me yesterday with the time I'm suppose to come in, 5:30am, and I was like...okay, I can do this! And I felt better about it after last night when my husband had friends over and they ordered pizza and I made dip and brownies and I wanted to eat it so bad, but I didn't. I'm ready to do this, I just wish my brain would shut up for a little bit!

I was going to have gastric bypass 2 years ago and I backed out about 5 days before the surgery. I just wasn't ready yet, now I wish I would have went ahead and done it. I'm scheduled for the sleeve surgery in 3 weeks and I'm sure this time will be easier

The Pre Op is the hard part!!! Its almost over:)

I am too but seeing all your encouragement is Great. I can't sit on this site all day. I'm so hungry

I'm hungry too. I just want to eat a sandwich so damn bad! And of coursei just started my period and I haven't had one since high school (I just turned 30 and have severe PCOS) so I don't know if they will do surgery with that. Anyone know?

No issues for them to do the surgery when you are on your period. Many people get it immediately post op anyhow...
