Just thought I would let everyone know, A year ago today I was on Life support do to the neglegeince of a surgeon in Mexico. :think I was put in a California Hospital because Mexico did not have the facilities for the complications that went wrong.. They saved my life. I had 2 more weeks to live and they was letting me go. Thank God I did pull through only by a miracle! I have had 6 surgerys since the first Lap-band surgery. It was hell and i hope many reads what I have to say, and if any questions please feel free to contact me. I went to Mexico to have the surgery done because of financial reason. Probably like most of you, It ended up costing me over $500,000 due to stupidity. So please, do much thinking and research before making the decision. Being alive is much better, then being dead and skinny!:clap2:

Jboy: this is surprising to me that you would want to share personal private information about another member of a Message Board with such ease with no moral conscience evident. Wouldn't you feel bad if you sent personal information to someone that wanted to use it for harm?

I agree with Betty. Let's stop the fact vs fiction issue. We never know for sure what is true and what is fiction on here. We all take each other at their words that what happened to them actually happened. Who are we to judge their personal experiences? I take what someone tells me as fact unless I find it to be different.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't we considered innocent till proven guilty? Also, we are not the ones to PROVE guilt here and yes that includes ALL of us.

Penni60-- I am not sharing PRIVATE information here..This private information you allege would be divulged can be found in any of her other posts as well as her most recent posts..I am talking about the information concerning all of the inconsistencies in Misfortunes story and the possible link that Gadgetlady and elise all may be the same person..Isnt the truth what we are looking for..Misfortune started this by leveling accusations at a certain doctor..Once she was challenged is when all of the BS started to fly.People who read these posts should have the whole story, not just the crap that some people throughout there that cant be substantiated..why is everyone so afraid of what the truth is here.And by the way..where has Misfortune been lately.....I am not vindictive, as Gadgetlady claims..I could care less who she is or what she does..Trying to focus my attempts at finding the truth as being "vindictive" is a really poor attempt by Gadgetlady for all of us to lose sight of what all started this....Lets just sort it out and find who is who and what the truth is.....

Jboy, Misfortune came here to tell her story. She came looking for support. After all this is a SUPPORT FORUM not an ATTACK FORUM. Can't we just lend her moral support? Would that be so wrong?

I don't consume myself with "investigating" every report of personal experiences on this forum. I personally don't have the time nor the desire to PROVE people wrong.

If you have some proof to what you claim then feel free to send this proof to the owner of this forum so the proper person can deal with it. You have no power to do anything ON THIS FORUM with the information you have collected other than to make accusations of false reporting.

The lawyer is still here and to correct you..I never called Misfortune an outright liar..I questioned the veracity of the comments made in the original post, as I think everyone should..Hell, Misfortune went from having a bad experience to dribbling on about people disappearing in Mexico or waking up with certain organs missing....I am in the process of verifying her story as we speak with people who would know about this situation in Mexico

If you read carefully, jboy, I did not claim you were vindictive. I said I didn't know if you were vindictive or not. For that matter, I still don't.

I was not trying to divert attention, but rather to redirect the attention where it belongs -- on Misfortune's misfortune. wannabelean just jumped to a conclusion that Misfortune and I were the same person because I was the last poster on a thread that she started. My guess is she confused the "Thread/Thread Starter" with "Last Post" information on the summary page. You could PM her and ask her if that satisfies your curiousity.

I realize all of my information may be "out there" in different places all over this board, but to have it staring me in the face in the middle of a very weird accusation made me nervous.

JBoy, this is not some kind of coverup. I feel the same way as you do about Dr. Huacuz. I had a fantastic experience with him. I am the one who basically made the mistake in identity between Gadgetlady and Misfortune. I am really not sure how I screwed this whole thing up, but I wish you would let it be, and know that you are suspecting an innocent bystander based upon MY MISTAKE! I apologize if I fed your desire to uncover some big conspiracy... but unfortunately there is no truth to Gadgetlady being involved in ANY WAY to Misfortune. I don't know anything about Misfortune, but I do know that she is not the same person as Gadgetlady. Please accept my apologies.

Well I havent been on for a while, Im bacK..: ) Thank you all so so much.. I do appreciate all your concerns ,thoughts, prayers and opinions! I also pray for everyone one who has or is going to go through this surgery, or any other. I am sorry it took me so long to actually talk about what happened, but at the same time I am very happy that I am sharing it now. I finally just two days ago read my release papers and all the procedures they had to do to me. Over 100 pages, Wow! Big reality check! I really had a eye opener, and am very very fortunate to be alive! Everyone had told me that , nurses, freinds and Doctors. But God seems to make us as the "victim" , not being able to remeber the worse. I guess it is a way of healing faster. I just really hope noone ever has to experience what I did. Especially because of someone elses mistakes. Please keep your eyes open and your heart full!

I think Misfortune said people go missing in Mexico all the time. I didn't find any reference to missing organs. I don't think Misfortune was trying to revive that old chestnut.

JBoy...why do you choose to make your living defending "butcher doctors"? If you get them off and they go on to cripple or kill someone else, does that not bother you?

Back again, I just read all the post I have missed. This is getting kinda crazy.. Jboy, I am sorry you dont beleive. And sure go ahead and check it out. I am not scared, I have nothing to hide. I almost lost my life and left to wonderful boys without a mother, so feel free to do what you have to do. If this makes you feel better.

Let me tell anyone that has doubts about me, your opinion is your own. Let me tell you some things that was wrote om my report.. First: "on reveiwing the information provided by the surgeon who operated on the patient in Tijuana, he describes findings of acute pancreatitis.

On reveiwing the imaging studies performed in our hospital, there is evidence of bilateral pulmonary consolidation as the main finding.

This patient was in severe sepsis, draining frank and obvious pus through the abdominal wound between sutures in the midline wound that was performed in Tijuana. She was also draining purulent material through the right flank....

Do you need to hear more? Severe sepsis, preforation and leaks,developed pneumonia, severly dehydrated,perforated gastric fundus,multiple subdiaphragmatic abscesses, pneumothorax..

I think that is enough to prove my point. For you all that is not familiar to these medical terms, this probably means nothing to you (like it would have to me ) but for the ones out there that question me, and know medical knowledge, you will also know this is medical terms I could not make up.. Especially terms that can be used if there was complications.

Again I am not here to butcher All Mexican doctors, which I have said several times. I am here to only inform the possibilities and to share my experience! I am very sorry for the ones that think I am making this up.. I dont know why you would think that because it would be no benefit to me.. I wish I could take it all away and act like it never happened, but I cant.. I will live everyday with a stomach that you could play "chutes and Ladders" on . I will mentally and Physically never be the same. So take it "as you may". And please everyone lets play nice on here..lol We are only here to help one another... : ) God Bless you All!

Glad to hear back from you, Misfortune. So sorry for what you have been through. It is a solemn reminder that as much as we all want to be "skinny" at virtually any cost, sometimes we can't fathom the reality that that cost very well might be our lives.

I'm glad you're here to tell your story; more importantly, I'm glad your boys still have their mother around. That is, after all, what we all value most -- our families and our loved ones.

I missed the part about Lopez. Sorry, I just read Lopez was there also and I was wondering which Lopez and what part he had in your nightmare. I am always so sad to hear about peoples problems with the band and I thank God everyday for mine. I will say a prayer for you and all those you struggle.
