Just found this site and can see that it will provide a wealth of information. I have been thinking about the Lap Band surgery for several years and finally attended a seminar in November. Unfortunately, I am told by my employer's benefits person that our insurance doesn't cover this surgery. I'm actually considering going ahead without insurance. I haven't begun any of the process. I'm still in the decision-making stage.

I'd love to hear from anyone who had surgery done in Idaho and/or anyone who paid for the surgery without insurance.

Hi there and welcome to LBT. When I decided to get my band, my insurance would not cover it. Hubby and I agreed it was a good choice for me, so we refinanced our house to pay for the band. I don't regret the decision to do so.
