constipation

I'm suffering from constipation. In 4 weeks out and haven't went in 5 days. Any suggestions? Is this normal?

That's what's so funny. Before surgery I had IBS' date=' so anything I ate ran right through me. This - I am not used to! Will definitely try the m.o.m. Thanks![/quote']

I feel you 100%!! I always had to worry about how food would "hit me" when dining out-now what I'ld pay to go so easily! I'm eating prunes, per my Nut. and drinking fluids and taking Colax at night. I need veggies but my new stomach still can't tolerate them. I've never craved a salad so much in my life! Tomorrow we're flying to Georgia and I pray I feel better by then! JFK airport - not fun!!

Yeah, this is one of the side effects that they don't list on the brochure! First the pain pills impacted me terribly then the lack of fiber took its toll. I tried the fiber gummies but I was so tired of chewing during that stage (all my supplements were chewable/gummies) that I stopped taking that. I switched to Benefiber and it works great. I just fix it in the morning and use it to take my supplements.

I think I'll try the bene fiber. I can't keep drinking milk of magnesia very day. Fiber gummies don't seem to help. I'm hoping its worse because of all the meds & codeine cough meds I'm on for bronchitis...
