I was sleeved on June 14th and yes, I had diarrhea. The nurse told me that almost everyone does. You'll be feeling better in no time. By my 11th day I was flying to Charleston, SC for vacation. I still can't eat all my Protein, but I feel much better. Each day really does get better.

Oh has anyone experienced diarrhea?? Sleeved two days ago and I'm experiencing diarrhea...

Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement!! I was pissed off at the forums myself because no one said how bad the first week would be...Omg this is crazy!! I didn't know that I would have a drain..well I got it taken out today but still it was awful!! Then having to drink the blue Water & the contrast was the yuckiest thing I've ever tasted...taste like liquid metal!! Yuckkkkkkk!!!!

I'm with you! I read post after post saying how people were going shopping right after surgery and nothing about any complications. Never heard a word about pain either and OMG I literally woke up screaming with pain. I had a terrible time drinking. I had pain with every sip. I didn't feel normal until day 14. If I would have heard about pain, complications etc I know it would have prepared me better. My message now is that the journey is different for everyone BUT this could happen to you. I think it's better to expect the worse.

With that said, Would I do it again??? HECK YA! I'm lovin my sleeve!!!!

I had diarrhea after I had the concrete bowls episode OMG!!! Probably in my 2nd week post op...

I'm 3 days post-op and I was also surprised at how much more pain there was than I expected. On the one hand, DUH, it's major surgery. But on the other hand, you read so may posts from people who didn't need pain meds once they got home, that I began to think, maybe it's not so bad because it's laparoscopic. Nope, there's some SERIOUS pain, and my body is pretty unhappy with me.

I'm grateful that I"m not having trouble with nausea though, and I"m able to keep all the liquids down. I'm definitely not ready to come off pain meds yet - tonight I went 5 hours between doses, and that was probably a bit too long a stretch.

I have my first postpop appointment Tuesday, so I guess I've got the contrast die thing to look forward to. I'm looking forward to the staples coming out.

I shared the room with Diva Dee and we were both a little shocked about the pain. I was a day behind her so was encouraged when she felt better.

Hey Dee!

I'm getting on a plane on 4 hour and hope the diarrhea is about over!! Yikes!!

Divadee it only has to get better. RIGHT?! Im 6 days post op and finally didnt need my pain meds starting yesterday. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER REAL SOON!!
