I just received a call from the doctor's office and the insurance has given them the ok to do the surgery. They scheduled my surgery for December 3rd. Since I have to be on a 2 week liquid diet I wouldn't be able to get in earlier even if someone were to cancel. I really don't even care because I am just so excited knowing that I am going to be a BANDSTER!!!! YEAAAAAA!!!!! :P

Congratulations! December will be here before you know it. I got a date approximately 2 months ahead and thought it would take forever to get here, but it flew by! I hope it does the same for you.

Carmen, CONGRATULATIONS! That's a great date, because you'll have plenty of time to heal up before the holidays. You're on your WWAAAYYY!!!!! :cool: :D

Hi Carmen, Congratulations!!!!!!! Isn't it exciting??? You're just a few days behind me! I'm stocking up on yogurt, protein drinks, made some chicken soup last night, I'm ordering protein powder and bars........... etc. I'm so happy you finally have a date. From what I read on other boards, it's taking some people almost a year to get a date because of the popularity of the band. People are starting to hear about it and the word is spreading like wildfire. Good thing we got in when we did!!!!

AND HOW!!! I can't believe the date is set!! I remember when I first decided to have the band done. From the time that I had my first initial consult until today with the date has taken me a little under 2 months!! I can't believe how quick it went. I am really glad that the band is starting to get the recognition that it deserves. I just wish more people had no problem getting insurance to cover it. Wouldn't that be GREAT!!??!!? Then we could ALL be loosing!!
