how much to eat 2nd week post surgery?

Was banded on the 15th. Doing very good. Per instructions, am on soft foods this week. Saw the doctor today and she was pleased with my progress. Have lost 8 pounds, off of insulin, off of two high blood pressure meds, and off of med for cid reflux. Told her what and how much I was eating (1/2 c. soft foods per meal). She asked how I was doing with that and Hhow I felt, which I was fine with it and not feeling too hungry. She gave me some more material from the lapband comp. It said that one should be eating 2 oz. per meal or you could stretch out the pouch. Am I stretching out my pouch? I am not feeling bad after eating. How much are you all eating post surgery when on soft foods? JuneR, :)

I was banded on the 11th of July and I also eat about 1/2 cup of food. I didn't know that would stretch the pouch...now I am concerned that I may have already sabotaged myself.

Far as I can tell by other postings, we are ok but don't exceed. We can have 1/4 c to 1/2 c a meal. My doctor didn't say anything against the 1/2 c. So I assume it is ok. I was also told not to eat pastas, rice, breads. But I see that some of the postings are. I am ok going without, especially if it gets me to my goal. Thanks for the comeback and good luck to you.
