Lapband with plication

Did anyone else get the lapband with plication? I am three weeks post-op and had this procedure on July 25th. I always feel so swollen still and I can't even imagine getting a fill anytime soon... I feel like I'm constantly choaking and I don't even like eating period at this point. Does anyone else experience this? Could it be from the plication? FYI I've seen a doctor and nothing physically seems wrong

I just don't see this ever happening for me' date=' I really don't. its just so painful and it isn't easing up yes its only been a week and people heal differently but I am weak and cant take it. I just want to be better, I thought I was doing something good something that would help me and I feel like I got just the opposite.[/quote']

I'm not saying this to be harsh or insensitive, I'm just being honest.

If you think the answer is to have another operation after only a week you're very mistaken. All that will do is add more incisions, more pain, and more trauma.

Talk to your doctor tomorrow and be very honest with him. I know it's hard right now but you really are going to have to calm and cope while you heal. Getting all worked up and taking an attitude of defeat is only going to make things harder and worse. We've all been through it and we all survived- and you will too.

i know it is hard to picture what i am about to write....but a year from now (you will be glad you had this surgery) if you stick with it/hang in there and adhere

all the best
