Almost there...2/23/09 date

Hey everyone, I am pre-op date is 2/23/09 and was wondering if anyone has any advice about the week b4 liquid diet? My dr. had his own nutritionist that cost a fortune, so I choose to go to someone in my medical plan. Had appt. in office where the nutritionist came for a bit to speak to us, and I heard some things I didn't know. Any help will be great. thanks.

What things did you hear that you didn't know?

The pre-op diets run the gamut of the very strict to none at all. Mine was for two weeks. Two low carb protein shakes, 4 oz of lean meat, two slices of LF/WW bread, plus all the mostly green veggies I wanted (no corn or potatoes, for instance). There might have been some more to the diet, but it's been a long time, so it's a little fuzzy now.

If you started a thread with your doctor's name in the title and where you're located, hopefully someone who was banded by him/her would give you the diet info. I'd be worried about not going by his requirements.
