I had my first fill yesterday, It was a tad bit painful at times, I guess it was hard for him to locate the port even though he used floro. I could only imagine how painful it would have been withough the floro.

Anyway...... After the first time he filled my band he had me drink the barium (yuck) then follow it with drinking 1/2 a cup of Water which quickly went all over the place. Yes I projectile Vomited all over how embarassing! He said well that was a first you must be really sensetive to this. So he took out some Fluid and all was better.

Has anyone else looked like a scene from the exorcist while being filled (thank goodness it was only Barium and water coming up). I'm glad it is over and I know it is all worth it....I am keeping my fingers crossed it doesnt happen again.

Oh, my! Was this Dr. Bertha you performed for? Don't worry, I'm sure they've seen it ALL before. No matter how awful/weird/funny we think our medical situation is, believe me there is NOTHING that surprises doctors or nurses.
