lupus and the lapband

I have lupus and looking into the lapband and would like to hear from others that have lupus and have been banded.

What was the doctors name that did your banding? What are the concerns or fears the doctor have? I went to a seminar and the doctor had to look into it because he was not sure if he could do someone with lupus so any info would be great. thank you

I went with a friend to a seminar last night that my Doctor put on , and one of the things he talked about was people who have lupus. He has had two people who had lupus, and was able to band one, but only after extra test.He has a very positive attitude about banding some one if they can pass the extra tests associated with lupus.
