I had surgery 3 days ago, 10/10/18 and I'm on this clear liquid diet which I'm struggling with. Can I start full liquids early?

How long do you need to be on clear liquids?

i was required to drink liquid protein drinks. I used skim milk and Carnation Instant Breakfast since I could no longer tolerate the boost they wanted us to drink. I was not hungry, so it was not a problem for me.

What does your doc say? Physiologically, you probably can as many programs don't have any clear liquid phase post-op, but if you have any problems and were advancing your stages without permission, then you get the blame for those problems, for being "non-compliant".
