HI everyone,

I thought Sharon Osborne had the band, but yet in this weeks People magazine she is quoted as saying she has gastric bypass.

I know I have read in the past she has the band. Anyone know for sure?

I emailed Sharon (well, her show's) website too so someone here should hear from her to clarify things!

I did the same thing while I was watching her show yesterday. Maybe between all of us someone will let us know what she really did.

She was on UK tele the other night (Parkinson) She was telling him about her operation & definately said she's had a band.

She described it to him in quite good detail.

Defo a band then!

Ok, now ya'll got me confused! Any way we can email her and get the REAL story on this? I've been hearing it's Lapband for her. I like her also and it's amazing that she's as well grounded as she is since she lives with Ozzy. :cross-eye He'd make me :banana just trying to UNDERSTAND what he's saying! LOL!

There is a procedure called Vertical Bypass Surgery (VBS) where they staple your stomach and then place a band around the top part of the stomach much like our band. She probably did have the band but also had her stomach stapled for this procedure. I do believe it is reversible but not as easily as ours.

Anne Wilson from "HEART" had the band placed.

Al Roker from the "TODAY" show had the bypass

Carnie Wilson from "WILSON PHILLIPS" had the bypass.
