My dr just informed me that I am morbidly obese. Yah tell me something I didnt know. I guess it is the word Morbid that got my attention this time. I am 5'3" and weight 242. have dieted for 32 years, food has controlled 90% of my life. He has suggested I go through all the motions at Kaiser in Denver. My first meeting is next week. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I should lose 100 pounds. Of course I have many times over added up in my life time. He also stated that the wait time is 8 months. Not sure if that is true or not. Maybe they just say that to see if a person will do all the classes etc. that is involved. Has anyone been through Kaiser and can tell me what it is like?

its a very slow and painful process. You have to be dedicated and it will work. I would recommend anyone wishing to get control to take this step. I have had great success. It hasnt been easy, With the band you still have to be disciplined and willing to be patient....very patient.... I would do it all over again. Oh and remember when reading postings on this site that a lot of people only think about posting when its something negative and are having issues.
