Wow, honeymoon over I will be two years postop sleeve in April and I dreaded this day the day where the hunger Demon ๐Ÿ˜ˆ would come back... obesity is the cruelest disease of all and wouldn't wish this disease on my worst enemy. If I had a camera in my kitchen, it would be sad as many times as I went and opened the fridge and my cabinets .....I could not find or satiate my hunger, so I'll have to onboard my GLP1 soon. I've been off of my GLP1 one for two years, but I have to start back on it next week because that's the issue with the disease of obesity, It's a complex disease lthe type of hunger that us who deal with obesity has is not a normal hunger sometimes it's a hunger that can never be satisfied and that's the sad part about this disease.
The hunger can't really be described. It's so it's an obesity type of hunger. I call it obesity hunger

I havenโ€™t been here for a long time!
    Iโ€™m 12 years post op!
    I had a Gastric Sleeve
Itโ€™s been a good journey. I started at over 19stone. Its success was great I lost weight consistently and got down to around 12 stone 7lbs. In about 29 months. Felt fantastic and got married and had my dream wedding and lived life. I fluctuated up and down a few pounds over the following few years. I noticed alcohol really affected me extremely quickly making me very intoxicated and soon noticed I was drinking 5 nights a week. I then decided in Nov 2022 to get my weight back under control as I had put on a couple of stone and part of this new decision was to take alcohol out of my life. This was the best decision Iโ€™ve ever made. I lost the remaining weight and feel and look so healthy. Iโ€™m a regular exerciser now swimming, cycling with Pilates classes. I include the colour of the rainbow in my daily fruit and vegetable intake plus protein and milk and healthy carbs. No ultra processed foods just clean home healthy cooking.
I feel like a new women now age 62 but feel in my 40โ€™sโ€ฆ
I strive everyday to be healthier, fitter and look forward to to longevity ๐Ÿค—

I am a 62 y/o housewife who loves her husband and children very much. I am waiting for 2 months to pass so I can be scheduled for surgery. I trained as a Medical Assistant but have never been hired. After surgery I really want to be able to walk long distances with my husband and pup Echo, do a little traveling. I am looking forward to a much healthier life with my family.

My last 11 pounds are being very stubborn but I knew the closer I got to my goal weight the slower it would go. Just try to relax, it will come off. Keep working at it and try not to get frustrated. I know, easier said than done but you've got this.

Please don't be frustrated, everyone loses at a different rate. I know that you read that many are losing faster and some are losing slower. Just keep steady and get your protein and water in and exercise in and I believe you will do great!! Perseverance is key. Good luck but I don't think you will need it. Just remember we are all here for you.
