under construction reacted to sil222 in New Here! I Was "sleeved" On 5/9/12.Don't feel bad about the stall your doing better than me, I had surgery 5/3 and have lost 45 lbs. i lost 20 lbs before surgery , I have not had any stalls really, just losing slowly but steadily. I know I'm doing all the right things , low carb, low calorie , exercise about 5x a week, I guess I'm just made that way, but as long as that scale keeps going down I'm happy and I try real hard nor to compare myself to others, for example someone that was sleeved after me and has lost more weight than me lol!!!

under construction reacted to Amom2twins in 2 Weeks Post-Op & Feeling Great!I had my surgery on June 5th & had my 2 week post-op dr. visit yesterday. I have lost 25 lbs so far, I almost cried when I found out because I was so happy. I don't have a scale at home so the number was a total surprise. Other than some pain at the incision sites, I have had no other issues. I totally expected to feel nausea or feel tired but none of that has happened. This was the best thing I ever did for myself. I am doing lots of walking, so off I go for another walk!

under construction reacted to Alicia451 in May Sleeve Buddies!I was sleeved on May 29th & have lost 26lbs as of today. It’s coming off fast which is exciting BUT I am miserable and at times I really regret my decision to do this! Never thought it would be so hard mentally for me!!! I really thought I was ready and prepared…nothing I can do about it now! I did also had a very large hiatal hernia repaired which has made it even more difficult to get anything down at all! Therefore I am left with no energy and very dehydrated!
My follow up appointment it today, cannot wait to hear what he has to say.
Starting weight 05/22: 242
Today's weight 06/06: 216

under construction reacted to mzcoug01 in FluidsHi,
Sorry that I haven't been on for a a bit. I am still quite tired after the surgery.
I had my 1 week follow up visit last Tuesday. The ARNP found that I was a little dehydrated. She gave me 3 bags of fluids as a result. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess the 2 daily Protein drinks, 33oz of smartwater, and lots of Jello wasn't quite enough. I am doing ok otherwise and the asthma is behaving despite the high levels of allergens in the area.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Well, I'm recovering from major surgery, so yes I have fatigue.
And I would imagine that I will have some fatigue here and there as my recovery continues during the period that I'm still very limited in the amount of food I can consume.
And no, I'm not concerned about it in the least, because while--like you--I don't have time for fatigue, I can say that I DEFINITELY don't have the time or energy to drag around 200 pounds of extra weight for the rest of my life. So, fatigue? Bring it on. It'll just be something I'll deal with temporarily on my way to a healthier and more energetic life.
