  1. Oh, how I miss crossing the Bluewater Bridge into Sarnia! I don't miss Customs though! B
  2. I was wondering about the card also. It was in the packet that was sent home with me from surgery. Good info to know!
  3. Hey gang! I get that an NSV is a milestone, or compliment, but I can't figure out what it stands for. Help a brother out!
  4.    JackieMc reacted to a post in a topic: 4 days post op and tired of broth HELP!!!
  5. Sara, I had Plantar Fasciitis for over a year and nothing helped. What finally worked is having chiropractic adjustments. My chiropractor started adjusting my feet and ankles. Give it a try. Brian
  6. Sugar Free Jello is on my approved list for Week 1.
  7. Thanks SkinnyMiniMe. I read the thread and do feel a lot more assured. There is a lot of negativity on the board, but I have to believe that the majority of complications and failures are from people not following the program. 36 hours away from surgery! Brian
  8. Thanks Guys! With 2 days to go before my surgery I was really starting to freak out. I was sitting here debating making the phone call that cancels my surgery. I am reassured that if I follow the plan and play by the rules that the results will be well worth it. Brian Surgery scheduled for 11/14/2011
  9. Shirley, The 6 month supervised diet has me perplexed. My surgery is in two days, but I also had to go on the "diet" for insurance reasons. The diet I was placed on was a sham. I was given just enough information that made my visits satisfy the insurance company I suppose, but it was really just a joke. If I did well from month to month then I was reminded that if I lose too much weight that insurance wouldn't pay for my surgery. If I didn't lose weight, or gained then I was made to feel like I was a bad person for not being successful with the "tips" I was given. With two days to go till my surgery, and a lot of success with the pre-op diet, I wish I had been part of a REAL 6 month supervised diet. I believe that with the coaching I have received from my surgeon who is not part of the company that is promoting the lapband program that I may have decided not to do the procedure. This is a game that you are going to have to play. You can use this time to see if you really can beat being overweight and risk insurance not paying for it, or you can kill time and make the results show that you need the surgery. Brian Surgery scheduled for 11/14/2011
  10. I am also at True Results in Houston and they have told me that I most likely have a hiatal hernia. My consult for the EGD is on Monday the 8th. My 6th monthly appointment is on September 6th, so I am anxious to get it done.
  11. How awesome that you have lost 20 lbs already. You are doing great! I'm really proud of you! Brian
