Insurance question

Hello to all! I have finally made a decision to try to schedule an appt. w/ my primary physcian to start the process for Lap Band surgery. Unfortunately, I have medi-cal insurance and have been warned that they may not approved this kind of WLS. Can anyone tell me if they have gotten approved w/ medi-cal? Thanks for any advice/suggestions.
