I'm new!!

Hi,

I'm from the UK and was banded 6 months ago.

I hasn't been a great success for me so far.

I had a leaking port which was only discovered 2 weeks ago after 2 unsuccessful fills.

I have had my port changed and now have 2cc although I don't feel much restriction.

My worry is that having been eating for 6 months normally I have stretched my pouch and I will not feel full when I eat.

I have not lost any weight as yet but I am getting concerned that I won't.

Most people I know who have 2cc definatley feel restricted and eat hardly eanything

Please help!!!

Jakkie

Hey Jakkie

I am sorry to hear about all of the trouble you have had with the band. Don't give up yet!!! My father and i both have the band and he is filled to 1.8 cc and is at a good fill but I am at 3.8 cc and needing another fill. So everyone is different and just keep an eye on your food intake and be sure to schedule another fill until you are at your sweet spot! Good luck and be sure to keep us posted!

Don't worry !!

I am copying my answer from another thread......

I just wanted to add that my Dr. said that the little part of the stomach at the top above that band will not stretch. The pt's that have the RNY either have a bigger pouch then us or their pouch is further down where the stomach will stretch. Every dr may say something different, just wanted to add what mine said...hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!
