Ashley:

I too was banded on 01/06/11. I bought the bulk fiber one from costco. It works like a charm. Don't worry you'll get back to regular soon.

I just started noticing that I don't have that constant hunger pain in my gut today. I fear that people would say that it was "head hunger". I say nonsense to that! I totally know what it feels like to be hungry and have hunger pangs - and I was starving - even with getting the 60 g's of Protein via my protein shakes.

How have you been feeling since your surgery?

Glad to find someone who was banded the same day i was! today was i think was the best day since the surgery. i felt really good and the area where the port is place wasnt as sore as it has been. for the past week i been really tried just doing the simplest tasks and i asnt like that before, i think it is from all the resting and being home not doing anything getting to me. day 4 and 5 i would have to say was the crappy days. i didnt wanna drink anything and i just wanted to chew and eat something!! and it is so far living with people with bad eating habits eating in front of you and all you can do is have little sips of Water or a protein shakebut as for now im doing good.... what about you??

I didn't have regular bm's for a little while after my surgery and when I did (TMI ALERT), it was usually just tiny bits.

My Dr requires Benefiber or Miralax (only half a tab) for the first several weeks to ensure enough fiber and proper bowel movements.

my dr recommended stool softener. I also used fiber gummies from Walmart. Only needed them for about a week. Once you start food, it all returns to normal
