i have kaiser and i met with my doctor on the 2nd of this month. he suggested the surgery since my bmi is 60. i signed up for the weight loss surgery class on feb 26th. how soon should i be expecting the surgery? it looks like most wait is 6 months? which is the best/fastest facility? fremont or richmond. HELP PLEASE!!! i'm tired of being big and dont want to wait any longer. i've already waited 15yrs for an opportunity like this and i refuse to wait any longer. i know i wont get another opportunity like this again.

I love Richmond Kaiser! I waited 3 months between my orientation and my surgery - it depends on how much weight you need to lose before surgery and how fast you lose it. I'd say that 6 months is about avergae, tho it can be as little as 2 and as much as a year or two.
