BayougirlMrsS reacted to GreenTealael in Plastics results 5+ years laterI don’t know what I expected in terms of longevity of my plastics procedures but everything has settled well and feels really natural so I am satisfied.

BayougirlMrsS reacted to Sophie7713 in Plastics results 5+ years laterAbsolutely, Green Tealaeh... Happy New Year! I concur - the investment in plastics after weight loss has resulted in a resounding feeling of confidence, a satisfied and completed journey 8 years out! I could not be happier with my new found shape even though I went from 5 feet to current 4' 11" (currently adjusting my weight for this height decrease)... The rewards are too many to count! And, your figure is simply gorgeous! Well done. Do you also feel plastics has helped keep one dedicated, motivated, and vigilant for the other important components such as healthy exercise, mindful eating and emotional wholeness + growth after our initial weight loss surgeries 2018?

BayougirlMrsS reacted to ms.sss in when did you stop buying plus size clothes?i had a while lotta "skinny" clothes in varying sizes i kept from when i was smaller, so i cycled through those for the first 1-3 months. by the time i was ready to buy new clothes, i was able to buy "regular" sizes. i did have to buy new undies and bras like after the first month tho.
as i kept dropping, i had to keep buying, so yeah, it does get expensive. but i love shopping and new clothes so...lol.
i'd say buy a couple nice items every new size you get to just so you have something that FITS. you don't have to get a whole new wardrobe. pro tip: leggings + boyfriend shirts, wrap dresses, anything non-tailored or snug will last you longer.
p.s. don't be surprised: you'll probably have to buy new shoes cuz your feet will shrink.

I have 3 bags of clothes that don't fit after just two months and I'm no longer plus size. I'm sticking with leggings (cheap at Walmart) and then I feel okay in an oversized top, basicallyjust wearingthem until they fall off. It's rough because our sizes change so quick. My mom is giving me hand me downs so that is helping. I also hit up second hand. I say if you like curvy clothes get what you are comfortable in. Today I changed clothes 3 times before work because nothing fits! Even my undies!!! It's so fast!!! I guess it's a great problem to have. I say go shopping once you are at your goal, until then, improvise to save $.

BayougirlMrsS got a reaction from Jodi620 in Lap band 17 years. Revision or No Revision and which one to chooseI had the LB in 2009, I loved my band. I miss her every day. I had great success with it till she slipped in 2017. If I could go back all those years ago I would never had gotten it out. I wish I had insisted on a complete infill and wished for it to go back. But instead I came to the internet and lets others get into my head. Including the doctors. In 2017 I was at a good weight and had maintained for years. After she was removed I was able to control myself but hunger came back with a vengeance. I did everything possible to keep it off. Over the next couple years I had put back 30 lbs. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot but on a 5’2” person it was. I decided to try for a revision. I really wanted the miniGB but the place I was going to didn’t do that and I felt like the GB was too much for me. So I did the sleeve in 2019. Did really well. Got down to 120lbs. But I tell you it’s hard to keep it off. The ability to eat more is there. No restriction on what I could eat, drink. So do you research and don’t let anyone make you do anything you don’t feel 100% conferences in

BayougirlMrsS reacted to Arabesque in OOTDI saw this Victoria Beckham lace & sequin skirt a few weeks back at my favourite boutique but didn’t get it. Then saw it on 40% off but was shopping with my mum & didn’t try it in. Then 2 weeks ago, I was still thinking about it & thought my size will be gone by now (only one of each size available) but checked online and the UK 6 was still there. Yippee! I tied it on the next day & it was perfect. The greatest win was it was another 20% off so 60% off. It was meant to be mine. Another win was it was still full price on VB’s website and her price was more than the original price where I bought it so got it for 75% off Victoria’s price. Wore it to my 60th birthday lunch yesterday with a silk blouse I knotted in the front.

BayougirlMrsS got a reaction from Dub in OOTDHad a great brunch with the Mr. yesterday. didn't get a picture with shoes, but thought they deserved to be acknowledged. @ms.sss Dress from Venus. Then went swimming. My friend too the one picture.
As you all know i'm from the south. I have a pretty good selection of Castiron cookware that's been handed down for generations. (black pot with shrimp spaghetti in it is from my Great-grandma)..., I would guess the age to be between 75-100 years old. My husband loves cooking in them all. So i decided to help start his own collection... Father's day 12qt roaster w/reversible lid, 13" pan for cooking his lasagna, 2.5qt sauce pot and a 1qt. He loved them.

BayougirlMrsS reacted to Lilia_90 in OOTDI have two weddings in December. Been on the hunt for a nice fitting dress and bought this for one of them. It’s navy but looks black in the picture. I ordered it in the smallest size available (XXS, 0 whatever you want to call it) and unfortunately it was loose on the waist and the hips, I altered it but it’s still a tad loose. Love it nonetheless and thinking of getting it in other colors.

BayougirlMrsS reacted to Arabesque in OOTDNo capsule wardrobe in my house. I’m guilty of having far more clothes than I need. A example of the proof of me having too many clothes is this dress which I found in my wardrobe recently and couldn’t remember buying it. Obviously worn (no tags) but where and when I had no idea. Wore it last weekend because of my guilt & than I remembered the last time I wore it - to my friend’s daughter’s hens party three years ago. Oops.
Where did you go for your holiday?
-
BayougirlMrsS reacted to Arabesque in OOTDWent to the annual gala fundraising lunch for the charity my friend is a director of yesterday. This is the same dress I wore to my friend’s daughter’s formal wedding last year. I had the hem shortened so I could wear it more often & for day events. Still love it & am glad I’ll have more chances to wear it now than as a long dress. Everyone was wearing very bright floral dresses at the lunch. It was so much colour and vibrancy it was verging on too much for my dark soul. ???
We’ve been having a warm snap so it was a lovely spring like day despite it being winter. I still took & wore my overcoat! It was black of course.LOL!

BayougirlMrsS reacted to GreenTealael in OOTDI have been consumed with all things High school these days. My teen’s prom was this weekend and of course she couldn’t make up her mind on a dress. By the time she decided everything was either sold out, not in her size or would take too long to ship. She asked me to make the dress. Here’s the reference and the final product.

BayougirlMrsS reacted to Arabesque in OOTDThe final look. The designer was excited I was wearing her boots & pointed me out during her Q & A. Had a lovely chat with her afterwards. She’s delightful.
Heard that she went to Chanel earlier in the day & they made her line up outside. They made the Chanel head shoe designer line up outside Chanel! ? She introduced herself & they said please wait here with everyone else. And worse there was only one customer in the store. Just one person! Don’t want to be that store manager & staff if she reports back to Chanel.
Later in the evening, a woman came to me & asked if I was a 38? When I said yes, she said they were supposed to be my boots. Quick & the dead I replied. We laughed. Apparently I’m always getting in before she does so misses out.

BayougirlMrsS reacted to ms.sss in OOTDanother gratuitous OOTD swimsuit shot! my abs are becoming a little more prominent...not because im exercising or anything, but because we have barely eaten while we've been here! i am NOT a fan of all-inclusive resort food and basically have only eaten over easy eggs and cabbage and the tube of Pringles i bought on the plane, ha. Oh, but i have probably drank my weight in vodka sodas omg.
