Anyone else has type 2 diabetes.

Hi, this is my 3rd week after surgery , it hurts to eat so I just eat stews or soups, n of course my protein n water. I'm 42 n would like to know if any one else has type 2 diabetes? How long did it take for blood sugar levels to start going down?
