Sansa got a reaction from DSLdiversity in Anyone Looking For A Great Christian Doctor Or Undecided For Any Reason? You were so blessed to have a Christian doctor, lighteningbug! I can't think of anything more comforting than having a surgeon that prays about the surgery before taking your life in his hands. That's wonderful! Unfortunately, I don't get to pick my surgeon. Maybe I should start praying now for a good one like yours...

Sansa reacted to monique in Prayer Pre And Post SurgeryToday I know someone is having WLS. Father order the doctors hand, give him or her a clear mind that he or she make operate with precision and no mistakes. I declare miracles in the healing of every incision down to the smallest stitch. I declare nurses and staff that will do the work and will of The Lord that your name be glorified. Peace beyond understanding for our minds and endurance to our spirits for this is first of the best days of our lives.

Sansa reacted to monique in Prayer Pre And Post SurgeryI love God and I love to pray! We all have made a life changing decision to improve our quality and quantity of life. It took a lot of faith to get to this point. Let's lift up each other daily in prayer. Unity in prayer causes miracles.

Sansa got a reaction from Catracks in Jesse Jackson Jr. Had A Duodenal SwitchThe sleeve hasn't been around long but I look forward to reading comparative studies of the sleeve vs. the bypass. Cases of malnutrition are higher in bypasses already. I would like to know if people also have more mental problems that could be related to the malnutrition following a bypass.
Aside from that though, Jr. is apparently being investigated for offering to buy Blagojevich's senate seat. It's entirely possible that Jr's nervous breakdown had nothing to do with his bariatric surgery and everything to do with his criminal activity:

Sansa got a reaction from lady lisa in Extreme Fatigue And PalpitationsI experienced heart palpitations and fatigue when I was younger. I discovered that my heart palpitations occured as a result of a magnesium deficiency. I no longer experience the palpitations as long as I take an extra magnesium supplement with my multivitamin. My doctor also told me that chocolate and caffeine can cause palpitations. Your shortness of breath could be caused by the anxiety that results from the palpitations, however, it would be a good idea to get it checked out by a doctor. I have also been diagnosed with insulin resistance and cyclical hypothyroidism which causes my fatigue. However, other people on this board are healed of their insulin resistance after the operation in which case I wonder if your fatigue could be caused by the low calorie diet. Have you tried increasing your calories?

Sansa got a reaction from Sharon's last chance in Psychological Issuesno, I'm not. I'm just the kind of person that likes to be as prepared as possible. I'm not concerned about he physical aspect of the surgery as much as I am the mental and emotional aspects. I hadn't thought about the estrogen factor though. Losing so much weight so quickly must leave a lot of excess estrogen in the system. -
Sansa got a reaction from Sharon's last chance in Craving Dill Pickle JuiceI craved vinegar when I was pregnant but the doctor told me it was because I was anemic. I wonder if it is the vinegar in the pickle juice that you crave. Vinegar is a sugar that has the reputation of balancing body ph by reducing acid levels in the blood. I'm wondering if the surgery increases acidity in some way...perhaps the anesthesia or the healing process causes ph imbalances?

Sansa got a reaction from Finding MeMe in Psychological IssuesWhat was it about the attention that influenced you to gain your weight back? Was it the pressure from the men or the jealousy of the women? Is it different now since you were sleeved? I received attention when I was younger. I think the difficult part about it for me was that people expected more of me or overestimated me and my abilities simply because of my appearance. However, now that I am overweight, people tend to underestimate me and my abilities. Life for me is definitely less complicated now that I am overweight simply because people don't expect anything from me.

Sansa got a reaction from Luwanna in Four Days Out....and So Depressed!I've been waiting to hear from you, Luwanna! I remember that we talked about blood sugar, how is your blood sugar doing? I just keep thinking about not having to take any medications anymore and about all of the pretty clothes that I will be able to wear! What kind of things are you looking forward to? Congratulations on the 20 lbs that you have lost! How long has it taken you to lose that? Why do you feel duped?

Sansa got a reaction from shelleyrn22 in Soooo Disappointed!Have you considered being a civilian nurse that works for the Navy? Contractors and civilians make more money than active duty anyways. Active duty isn't all its cracked up to be when you consider that you give up all your freedoms. The current political situation is also creating a very bad environment within the military no matter which branch of service you're talking about. I don't believe that you are missing out on anything good by not being able to join the military. I have been associated with the military since the day that I was born and I just don't recommend it to anyone anymore. Today's military isn't the same kind of military that our parents and grandparents supported. Surrendering your life to organizations that are controlled by immoral and devious people isn't in anyone's best interest especially when those people care more about money than human life.
Why do 25 soldiers commit suicide for every one killed in combat? It's certainly not because they are proud of what they have been forced to do in the military or what has been done to them: http://www.nytimes.c...?pagewanted=all
