Panda got a reaction from Kimberly Bouche-Perez in I Made It!Dont get discouraged yet! 2 weeks you pro ably still have swelling from the surgery. Have u weighed yourself? Have u lost weight. Im down probably over 20 lbs (haven't weighed myself in a couple days) and i dont really see a difference but I feel better. Im only 19 days post op. People around me see a difference. But 20 lbs from nearly 300 lbs im sure the changes are slow. WLS isnt a magic wand. You still have to do your part . Without the surgery i could've worked out hours on end and NEVER would've lost over 20 lbs in 19 days. So do t get discouraged so soon! Best wishes ....

Panda got a reaction from Kickstand in Wtf! I Weighed In This Morning...Yes the roller coaster ride is a doosie! I only lost 25 lbs my first month. I only sound so ungrateful (although I am not) because it seems as though everyone else on here is losing do much faster than me. I exercise daily. I get my protein in and its only gonna b five weeks this Wednesday but I have friends that say they didn't plateau this soon...so I don't know what to think. Its discouraging at times....especially when you have people calling all of the time asking "well how much have you lost now?" Every other day

Panda got a reaction from DLCoggin in Protien BarsI use "pure protein" Protein bars. Low in sugar and fat and pack about 18-20 grams of protein per bat. Ask DLCOGGIN (hope I spelled his name right)...he's the go to guy on here as far as protein. I call him the protein guru. He will get u on the right path. A lot of protein bars are high in fat or high in sugar. Make sure you read your labels.

I was told crackers and pretzels are "slider" foods. You know they slide right through your pouch without giving you any type of full sensation. They are on my foods not recommended list as well. (List given to me by nutritionist)

Panda got a reaction from jenneliza in Not A Loser But A Staller....:( (Aka Failure)I didn't realize you were at the 8 week mark...I'm going to have to free with DL...what part of 40 lbs. In 8 weeks makes this a failure? This isn't a race and I was told that you have a year....that's 52 weeks. You're only at 8 weeks. If you lose 3 lbs a week which is 12 lbs a month that's a total of 144 lbs in a year. Its very important NOT to get caught up in unrealistic expectations. You are doing awesome and its important to start telling yourself so because positive thoughts produce positive results
