Good Afternoon Sister, I know you have received some bad new, but we serve a God that is greater than anything we could possible go through. The devil is a liar; you got nothing but a fight in you, because you could over come anything with the help of our Almighty God. We are healed by the stripes of JESUS CHRIST; Jesus has over come sickness and everything else for us on the cross. Now Sis, just as God granted you the ability to beat obesity, the BLOOD of JESUS will help you beat atherosclerosis; confession of the word over our situation and circumstances gives us peace and grant us healing. I am praying for you sister and believing in the name of Jesus you are healed. Speak life in your situation because God has giving us the ability to do that, according to His word, there is power of life and death in the our tongue, you already know this sisJ, SPEAK LIFE. We as believer has to go through trails and tribulations but the word of God tells us to be of good cheer Jesus have over come those things. Don’t give the enemy any room to still the peace and joy God has given you. Paise God I am all for a challegen, today is my weight in and I'm 289.8 praising God for every pound that comes off. I would love to be down at least 50 more pounds in three months. Let's go down in size and inches!!!! I pray that everyone meet there goal that has been set for this three month challegen, in Jesus name. AMEN. Gina

@Lisa, Thank you so much for the recipes and the information on Egg Face, I am going to check that out now. @Imlosing big, thank you so much about the deil meat as a Protein, I really want to get all my protein for food source instead of drinking shakes, not really feeling those but is drinking because I have too. Thank you, I wasn't going to eat any of that because I was scared it's too early, but I see you tried the tuna and fish, what kind of fish did you try?.....was it like salom or what?

How long was it before you ate any kind of meat after surgery? I am in phase three of my doctor's diet plan it tells me I could have tuna, fish, chicken meats like this and I am only 16 days out, I would love to know if anyone else could eat those meats at that stage. LADIES, December 7th here and I am SUPER EXCITED, NEW BEGINNINGS. Yes, we should give our cells and text each other through this process.....What you all think? I been on a pre op diet since Oct 31, three Protein shakes and a light dinner. I am oh so ready for this!!!!! Gina

I thought this would be a good prayer to pray, for you to bring comfort and peace doing this time, God bless you!!! Father in the mighty name of Jesus, I ask you Lord to touch the mind and hands of each surgeon, nurse, anesthesiologist and caretaker who will come in contact with me during my hospital stay. Lord, I pray that my liver is small enough so that the surgeon could work around it. Lord I pray that there would be no complication during or after surgery. Father, Allow no hurt, harm or danger to come to me. I pray for minimal pain, minimal gas and no mishaps. I pray that I will return home as scheduled, and that my recovery will be an easy one. Lord, I know that I am in your hand and it’s You whom I put ALL my trust in and that You O’ Lord have control over everything and I am glad that You are my keeper and my safety place is in You Lord where I hide myself and find rest. Thank You, Father for being the Creator of all things and creating me, NO ONE knows this body better than You. Lord, I also ask in the name of Jesus that you would watch over my children, while I am in the hospital, place Your Holy Angels around them, for You, O’ Lord am their safety nest too. Thank You Father. Amen.

First of all I have to give some praises to God, TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!! you are BEAUTIFUL and you has just giving me some more hope. thank you for sharing!!!! I would like to say this is very personal for me. Before I ever knew about any weight loss surgery, I would always pray and ask God to help me lose this weight and I didn’t try many diets, but what I did do is started to eat more healthier and excised five days a week and when I go to the gym I didn’t play I worked hard at first I started to see this weight drop off. I was excited then four months down the line the pounds just stop coming off and I started to change my routine up with the help of some the personal trainer in gym, I attend and I would see a few pounds leave but then I would just be working out to maintain the weight I was at, not gaining nor losing. So, I kept praying asking God and I started to seek things that help a little but the same results and I end up just losing money, then one morning after I was in prayer I got on the computer and I tell you WLS just kind of jump out at me. I then went back into prayer and I ask God if it be His will, could I have this surgery and if so make a way for me, and give me the strength to do what is needed to be successful with this tool. So, I started the process and only my youngest two children knew what I was doing, because they live with me and I had already started making life changes in my household with food, they knew my journey and seen what I had been doing. I told them what I had been praying about and ask did they want to go with me to the seminar and they went ask lots of questions and they are my biggest fans/supporters now. I told my oldest son and he said no mama that’s dangerous even though we use to work out together when he lived closer to me, and I had to tell him any surgery is dangerous and if I had any other disease that was life threating and surgery would be a tool to help me be healthy I would have it, I had to explain that obesity is a disease and he seen what I had been doing to help myself and it didn’t work out for me, so now I am getting a tool that will help me be successful with this weight loss and he is content, I haven’t told my oldest daughter yet and don’t know when I would tell her only because she can’t hold Water when it comes to family. A few others people maybe four or five that are very close and they are supportive with my decision. Oh yeah my parents and siblings don’t know either. I am saying all this to you because this is a personal decision you have to make and live with the rest of your life. I do not depend on people, not even the surgeon, I put all my trust in God and my faith lies in Him to see me through this process and anything else I may have to go through in life, because He created me and knows this body better than me. For I am not ashamed about the work that will be done in me, I will wear this sleeve like I was born with it. I pray that you will have peace with the decision that you will make, and not be ashamed of becoming healthy with or without a tool, based on your needs and wants out of this life, you only have one life and I hope that you live it to the fullest in Jesus Name. Hi Vicki, I did not have any complications, none what so ever. The reason I said finally is because it seem like I had been waiting forever to hear those words. I did my six month supervised diet with a dietitian, I don’t know if a PCP would do it with anyone insurance, it's usually a dietitian whom does this. I do hope you would be able to connect with the person you need to in order to start your six month supervised diet. @Tenna, thank you and I hope so. I am so excited!!! I have been waiting to hear this since I started the six month supervised diet. I was going through my mail today and seen a letter from my insurance company, I didn’t know what it was all about until I seen approved for Lap sleeve gastrectomy, my mouth drop and all I could say is thank you JESUS. They will call me Monday with a date for surgery praise God, all I could see is this year ending great and starting 2012 with a tool that will help me have a successful journey with a new me…..…Hallelujah. :clap2: Y’all I am truly rejoicing!!!! :cheer2:

Hi, I am a single mother and I am having surgery next month and I have tried to eat right and workout 5 days a week, consistently and this fat is just not moving the way I want it to. All I can tell you is I want to live and not die early. I know that God has a plan for me and I don't do anything without prayer, asking God for guidance and support. The only people I have told is my two children who is my biggest supporter and maybe two other people, but my family don’t know because I don't want to hear all the negatively about how they feel. So, I am asking God to prepare my parents heart for when I tell them. I am saying since your friend has put the fear of God in you. I would tell you to take it to God, because He is the one who will see you through this and give you comfort when you can’t get it from the ones that you want it from. I hope that this helps, and if you need to talk more you can send me a note. I pray it all work out for you. It’s about you and your baby not anyone else. Gina

Hello Sleeve Sisters, I just wanted to say I started my liquid diet on Monday the 24th and it's not been easy but I am determine to work it out, because I want it to work out. I just have been praying asking God for strength, because I need Him to get through this. I go see my surgeon on Thursday 27th. After that then I’ll be waiting on approval and I am praying that I'll be approve in November. This is my last month of my supervised diet, with the dietitian and I will meet with my surgeon next month, could someone please help me out by giving me some question to ask him. Let me say this, the closer I get to this, it seem like I am going blank, it’s like I knew all the questions I were to ask three or four months ago and now that I am a month away I can’t remember nothing. Does that mean I am getting nerves? Because I thought I had it all together, LOL. I will appreciate any question you could think of, it just might jog my memory to help me remember mines.
