  1. I am 12 months post banding and have a few episodes of pbing. Usually after eating to fast or not chewing well. I have a hard time with the slow eating thing. Due to years of eating as fast as you can or not eating on the job, the adjustment to eating mindfully is hard and even after a year I still don't always do it well. I am always adjusting to this new way to eat. The discomfort of the episodes are a big wake up to pay attention and chew, chew, chew and eat very slowly. Down 77 lbs and slowing going down.
  2. Making exercise a part of your life is really tough. I just think of it as I do brushing my teeth. I would never go a day without doing that or bathing and I have had to make it a part of my daily routine. It is really a part of your mindset. Stick with it and you and your family with reap the benefits. Remember a healther you will also set a great example for you kids. I come home from work a wind down a bit then I make it a priority to go work out for me. So far it seems to be working. I rarely miss a day at the gym and if I don't go, I do something at home in front of the TV. Every little bit helps you toward your goal. Don't give up on you, you are worth it.
  3. I have had to decreases in my fill. The first fill was to 1.1 in a 4cc band. I had the second fill to 1.7 and could not eat, liquids only. They took out some 2 more time but I am still a bit restricted. I can take liquids fine but most solid protein hurts. I am at about 1.3 cc now but when I go back in 2 wks I will get more removed. 1.1 cc seemed to be the best for me. It really is a hit and miss thing finding that sweet spot. absolutely a learning process.
  4. I went to the bank and got a loan for 5 yrs. Good interest rate also.
  5. I had the same thing on Friday after 2nd fill. Called the doctor and he told me liquids for a couple of days and then to call back if I didn't have relief. It is very scary to go from eating food and even soft foods making you feel pain. I am giving it some time. Wish me luck.
