  1. My belly is so ITCHY! The incisions aren't infected or anything like that, but the orange stuff they use to sterilize my belly is drying my skin and making me itch like mad! I did take a shower earlier, but it didn't come off, and I'm certainly not going to scrub it off, as #1 - I'm sore, and #2 - I don't want to inadvertently tamper with my steristrips. Who else has had this issue? What do you do??? TIA! ~Twinkle
  2. Hi everyone! It looks like this is the group to which I belong! I got banded today, and I'm excited for the journey ahead.
  3. Hi everyone, This is my first time posting here, although I've been lurking and learning for a few weeks, now. I completed my pre-op journey, and had my Lap Band surgery today! Before surgery, I've lost a total of 14 pounds. My goal is to lose another 98 (and more, eventually). Surgery went really well. I arrived at the hospital at 5:30, did my preop stuff, and surgery started at 7:30. I woke up in recovery at about 10:00. My surgeon said it was textbook, and that everything went really well. I left the hospital at 2:30 in the afternoon. My belly is swollen and sore, and it's hard to bend over, but I can't complain! I've been up and walking around for most of the day, including going to the grocery store (with help) to pick up some chicken broth, V-8, and juice. Anyways, I just thought I ought to introduce myself. Thanks! ~Twinkle
