  1. I weighed 194 when I had my band put in on June 5th. I am down to 163 and loving it. I feel much better and have much more energy. I love walking and hiking now. Weight is coming off slow now (about 1 lb a week) but it isn't hard at all. I'm glad I did it! :frown:
  2. I feel your pain. I had my surgery on June 3rd and also have had two fills. One 5 cc and one 1 cc. I also don't feel restriction yet. I am going in for my third fill tomorrow. I hope this one does the trick. I've lost 29 lbs since surgery but it is because of the pre-diet and pure dieting. I am fighting to keep off the pounds that I've lost and have been at the same weight for about a month. How many cc's of saline do you have now?
  3. I was allowed sugar free popsicles and they really helped get me through the 2 weeks. I had at least two every evening! The liquid diet did get easier after the first three or four days. Good luck! You can do it!
  4. Good luck on your surgery! I had mine on June 3rd and have lost 24 lbs so far. I lost the first 9 on the pre-surgery diet. I haven't lost any weight in a couple of weeks but had my first fill a couple of days ago so I'm hoping to start losing again. I did have some pain for about 2-3 days after surgry but took the liquid pain medicine and just rested. I had trouble laying flat for the first 10 days and slept most of the time in a recliner or propped up on the couch. I did go out of town a week after my surgery and was able to enjoy my vacation! I am so glad to have the weight loss tool and have my weight loss started. I want to lose a total of 70 lbs so I have about 45 more to go. I already have less pain in my joints (I have osteo arthritis) and have more energy than before. I have been doing water aerobics for exercise about 3 times a week and it is fun once I make myself get to the gym to do it! Good luck!
  5. I had my first fill two days ago. My surgeon does all of his fills in the radiology dept at the hospital. Even I could see the port on a screen and he had no trouble. This way there is no guessing. They have you drink some liquid and watch it go down to make sure they haven't got the band too tight. They keep adding saline until it is just right. If they get it too tight and the fluid doesn't go down then they can take some saline out without even removing and reinserting the needle. It was really awesome. I'm sure that if your next appt is in radiology there won't be any problems. Good luck!
