WOW, 2 surgeries at once does sound painful but both i'm sure will benefit you in the long run. I got banded on Dec. 11th and from what I've heard and my own experience having a delayed BM is normal. As far as recovery I think you just need to give yourself a little extra time considering what you've just been through. Our bodies are all different and will heal at a different pace. I was forced to feel better sooner since I have 3 children that I had to care for. Just remember you can't judge your recovery time or success against anyone else's since we are all different. Pete, I also got banded with Dr. Kuri. My surgery was Dec. 11th and I have to agree with you 100% that the experiece was great:thumbup:. Dr. Kuri is awesome and I am so fortunate to have found him. Good luck in you journey, I'll continue reading on for the support!!!

Luluc, I am so happy that I have finally found someone with a similar pre-op weight. I am 5'3 and 195lbs. I am really interested in getting the surgery and have actually palnned it for the first week of Dec. I wanted to know what kind of weight loss I could expect and seeing that you're a size 6 is so inspiring. Have you had any complications since the surgery? Where did you have the surgery done?

This website is totally helpful. It's great to see that so many people know and trust in Dr.Kuri. I'm still thinkin about the surgery date. I guess I'm just a little scared of all the complications. Does anyone have any suggested sites that would help me make a more informed decision?

Hello y'all, I'm considering getting the band the first week of Dec. with Dr. Kuri. I joined the group today hoping to get some feed back. I have lots of questions and I need some experience and support.

I just spoke to Dr. Kuri's office today and I am considering to book my appt for the first week of December as well. Have you got any feed back on him from this site?
