Officially 3 weeks post op. Down 85 lbs total since beginning this journey, down 33 lbs since liquid diet and down 18 lbs since surgery. I am on soft foods and loving it. Living on egg variations and grilled chicken.

Day 2 of post op. Feeling pretty good. I just have on incision that is swollen and painful but that’s it. Water intake and protein intake have been going well. I came home yesterday.

RNY was yesterday. It was rough yesterday during the day but yesterday evening until now, I have been feeling great. Lots of walks around the nurses station and lots of water. The broth is freakin amazing too.

It’s surgery day for me! At the hospital now! Eek

Covid test negative! Next stop, surgery!! I am getting anxious. I need to pack my hospital bag. Surgery is Wednesday so I still have time but dang this is getting real.

My husband will be home with the kids so I will have to rely on the nurses 100%. I got a bunch of $5 Starbucks cards and stylus pens that say Thank you on them.

Did anyone buy nurses gifts for the hospital?

Each shake is 15g. They don’t give us a choice on shakes since they need the 75g of protein and 800 calories so the Atkins shakes work perfectly with the 5 shakes a day so that is what my program requires.

Yup! Darn Covid!

I have to do 5 shakes a day with nothing else. 800 calories, 75 g of protein is what the shakes equal. Round three of doing this liquid diet. Day three of this round.

We are surgery twins. Started the diet today also for the third time and today has been the hardest. The other two times were a breeze.

I got questions. What are y’all packing in your hospital bags? What are you planning on doing for entertainment while in the hospital and when back home recovering? I will be solo at the hospital with no family.

I was on my liquid diet for my cancelled surgery over Christmas, New Years, and my Anniversary. I followed the diet to a T before I had to start the liquid diet. This time, I am having a full funeral for all of the foods I will never be able to eat again.

Scheduled for March 16!

Nope. The hospital won’t even let them schedule ANYTHING right now. Everything is on hold until Covid slows down. Ugh.

Seven days of not one bite of food and my surgery is now cancelled. ??? My biggest fear became my reality this morning.

Have you started liquid diet? I am 1/5 and this is my biggest fear. Day 6 of liquid diet today.

I am so sorry. I am stressed this will be happening to me. When we’re you scheduled?

My liquid diet (day 6)

Surgery is January 5th so I am on day of liquid diet. My liquid diet consists of 5 Atkins protein shakes a day and that is it.
