  1. I need some advice. I am about 7 weeks post op from revision. My brother passed away last week. I am having a hard time coping. Emotional eating is no longer an option. I would like 1/2 glass of wine. I know that transfer addiction is real to I’m being mindful of my triggers. Any advice would be appreciated.
  2. I will be six weeks post op tomorrow and was down 34.8 lbs as of yesterday. I’m having a hard time finding anything appetizing to eat and I’m rarely hungry so it’s mostly yogurt these days. My liquids are going down easier lately and I’m grateful for that.
  3. No strictures, obstructions or ulcers. They did say my stomach was inflamed a bit. They prescribed new nausea meds. I vomited this morning again but think maybe I need to wait a full hour before drinking after eating cause I felt fine before I took a sip of water.
  4. Thanks everyone. I called and they admitted me and are going to do a scope tomorrow morning.
  5. Today’s makes 3 weeks for surgery for me. I’m miserable. I can’t keep soft foods down at all...vomiting at least 3 times a day. Even water causes a stomach pain and yes I’m sipping. I went to the ER last week and they found nothing on the CAT scan that was abnormal and they gave me fluids. But it’s still the same pain when drinking. Any advice would be helpful.
  6. I really appreciate all the advice. I’m off pain meds but I’m having a horrible time sleeping and I know that’s helped me before. I’ll hold off until the six week mark to try anything.
  7. Yes! All smells are making me nauseous lately. I hate protein Shakes. I am only about two weeks out so hopefully it gets better. I hope it gets better for you soon also.
  8. Thanks so much for the feedback. I’m going to hold off for now but ask my doctor. I have a vacation in September and I plan on enjoying myself so hopefully by then I’ll be able to lol
  9. Yeah i didn’t way myself until 6 days after surgery because I didn’t want an inaccurate number frustrating my pre op weight. Today was the 6th day and I’m 5lbs down from my surgery date.
  10. I know this may be a sensitive topic but I wanted some feedback if anyone has any. Does anyone smoke weed or consume edibles after Bypass? I know that both have helped me with my anxiety, insomnia and stress especially over the past two years with the loss of my Dad. It’s not a daily habit but I wanted to know if that part of my life is now over? I stopped all that activity about 6 weeks prior to surgery to be safe. All feedback is welcome and appreciated.
  11. Pain after revision was significantly worse than any of my other previous abdominal surgeries (myomectomy, sleeve, hysterectomy, colostomy reversal). I expected it based on the amount of scar tissue I have but it still shocked me upon waking up. Each day it gets easier. This group has really helped me this week. Any suggestions on how to get all my protein in since I’m going home soon?!
  12. GM Everyone! I’m scheduled for bypass this morning at 9 and I’m super nervous as this is my 2nd time around...my sleeve in 2018 wasn’t successful. I’m wishing you all a speedy and safe surgery and recovery! I’m looking forward to OUR progress this year! ☺️
  13. I’m scheduled for bypass on March 22nd!!!
  14. This is helpful. I was sleeved in 2018 and never had adequate weight loss no matter what I did. My insurance approved my revision after having 6 nutrition visits and my Dr stating it was medically necessary. My revision is scheduled for this upcoming Monday
  15. Mine is scheduled for this upcoming Monday and I’m nervous. I’m trying to be optimistic but I’m so scared because I’ve been here before. I’m glad I found this site!
  16. Congratulations on your weight loss and journey to becoming a healthier YOU! I think you should reevaluate your definition of “friend” because the people you described in your post are anything but that! Keep working towards the person YOU want to be. I attend weekly therapy sessions and we discuss a lot of coping skills so maybe some ongoing therapy with someone who is experienced with bariatric patients will help some. ? **sorry I read through the comments and realized everyone has already said similar things about your “friends” and counseling! Hang in there! You got this ??
