I agree with what others have said. My plastic surgeon did pulsed dye laser treatment for my scars after my thigh and arm lifts. We talked about microneedling but honestly, I don't know its effectiveness for improving skin laxity. I have had a standard microneedling treatment done by my dermatologist for acne scarring, but for me, I personally saw better results with the laser treatments.

I have learned a lot from Dr. V while I don't agree with everything He says though. Do you have any suggestions on people (motivational self help speakers) to listen too, I am looking into branching out, and like to listen while I am getting in my fitness.

also I tried one of Dr.v theories on the gym and it worked. He said fittness is great but workouts is not great for weight loss, as it builds muscle. He said if you go to the gym for working out your weight loss will be sabotaged by the muscle gain, So I tried not going for 2 months and guess what? My 2 to 4 lbs a week continued. also stay away from bad carbs, processed food, and sugar. I never experienced stalls I just quit loosing, but some of the people in my support group do experience them for months. I also belong to a Facebook group called kpbariatric a lot of people in there r kaiser patients, but they don't have to be it is not kaiser affiliated, you can get a lot of good info and support, it's a great group.

Further to my post a while ago, I had my first micro needling session about a month ago but I had derma pen which is deeper & more precise. My reaction lasted about four days instead of the usual 1-2 days of redness. I spoke to my cosmetic physician & she’s going to do subsequent sessions more lightly as my skin is more sensitive. I’m expecting to have 4 sessions in total six weeks apart. It takes about three months for your skin to go through a renewal cycle & therefore to see any results. I decided to try it because of my cystic acne scaring & open pores. If it helps with loose skin that would be a bonus. My doctor also recommends a maintenance session every year.
This pxt is about 6 hours after it was done. It was more rash like in the following days & no makeup didn’t cover the rashy blotchiness.

Well, I think it all depends on which area of the skin you are going to perform this procedure. My mom is a cosmetologist and when she wanted to learn a new level of cosmetology and went to college, she told me much more about this procedure and many others. In fact, the effect of this procedure on your skin depends on the composition of your skin, your age and many other facts. As far as I know, even the state of the microflora of your intestine matters because healthy skin directly depends on the intestine. If you want the procedure to be successful, do a check-up of the body and eat food that is good for the intestine, then you will definitely be satisfied with the result.

I've heard about it but I'll let you know if I go ahead with getting it or not. They told me I still have to lose more weight just to get any kind of surgery to remove or tighten up my excess skin. They told me I need to be at least 180 for them to do anything for me so I've been working on it.

I already needed much Lipo in all my body bc I am in my mid 40s, but now after surgery I think I might have to really do some sort of lipo to tighten the skin. although I have not been exercising and that I know will help with skin sagging so i am going to try to do light lifting for arms. and maybe more weight resistance. I have been cleaning my house organizing and keeping active in other ways but I have to be more like dedicated to keep up with the weekly weight loss.

Has anyone tried a Lipo lift procedure for skin tightening? How did it work for you? I lost 80 lbs, not looking for perfection, just better.

As I said the weight thing was a theory I heard because of giving your body time to heal properly and letting you get your eating and mind on track, as weight lifting can cause you to feel more hungrier and need a little more calories taken in. It was a time to work on your brain and let your body heal.

Has anyone tried using weight lifting/muscle strengthening for a better look for your loose skin? How well does it work? how long does it take to notice a better look if u go semi aggressively, and what amt of weight is good for muscle building?

The scales shouldn't be the only indicator of success...and if someone puts on a bit of scale weight because of increased body mass that's great...no doubt they will have lost some body fat and will continue to do so.
I can't think of a worse reason not to do strength or resistance training because of the scales...I would think the benefits would far outweigh that.

Just a reminder that muscle does not weigh more than fat. 1 lb of muscle = 1 lb of fat. Muscle I’d denser than fat .

Thank you for the reply 🙂 my doctor is the one who told me he wanted me to start doing weights.. I've been walking since I had my surgery and I'm up to 7 miles a day but now I work out in the gym and I do an hour and a half of cardio.. which I love.. and I do weights for about a half hour every other day.. but it makes me extremely frustrated when I can't even lose a pound since I started the gym.. I understand that you can lose inches but then I'm still under the category as obese on the scale.. I still weigh 179 lb being 5 /3... I drank about a hundred oz of Water a day. And I make everything from scratch for eating... I tried to make sure I get my 10,000 steps or higher in every day which I do... I feel like this is all sabotaging my weight loss..so I'm not sure what to do I was wondering if other people were having this problem as well! !;++;last year when I was losing my weight I walked all the time and that was helping me drop weight but now it's winter and tons of snow so it's hard to walk...I would love to share and puts on this or stories of yourself not losing the weight from working out... Thank you so much....

Hi I'm new here. I have had gastric bypass 10 months ago. Since I started working out over a month and a half ago intensely doing an hour and a half of cardio and a half hour of weights I have not lost any weight. I am curious of why that would be happening

Dr Francisco Sauceda in Monterrey, MX is highly regarded on realself and in the WLS community for post-bariatric plastic surgery. After his patients are discharged from the hospital, they recover at the Hampton Inn hotel and his amazing nurse Paty visits you everyday; she helps you shower, checks your incisions, and replaces the bandages. Dr S also visits you at the hotel daily. As far as food, there’s options at the hotel, an HEB supermarket nearby, a number of restaurants, and you can order from Uber Eats. There’s a shopping mall, food court, and movie theater nearby too.
12 days at the hotel and up to $600 towards your airline ticket are included as part of your quote, as well as all post-op visits (MD & RN).

I still have flabby skin....i lost slowly, and exercise daily. Mainly focusing on muscle building with some cardio. I have also tried every fad out there to try to tighten it up...sadly for me i think only winning the lottery will cure this jiggle🤣🤣🤣that way i can get surgery.
