I got my first fill 11/20. I was banded on 10/8. Do you notice if you have restriction right away? Does it take a few days? I am still so new at this. :smile2:

I was banded 10/8. I have been on liquids since the 7th. I can not wait for next week to start stage three. I have been suffering with shoulder pain. I am told it is gas and for some reason gets stuck there. :smile: The funny thing that amazes me is that I am not hungry. I do have to remember that I am banded and need to take small sips. Today I made beef broth (a lot less salt than the cans) and I drank it to fast. I was so uncomfortable the whole day. I met with the surgeon tomorrow for a check up. I will keep you posted.

One more thing... Keep your weight loss ticker updated. LOL

MOEEEEEEEE!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I came home from work and I went straight to the computer to see if by any chance you posted anything. I was so shocked to see the post. You gave me so much comfort. I can hear the excitement in your post. Take it easy and keep us posted.

I am in Hampton. He is expecting 20 people. This will be the largest group session for him. The most applications they received from one seminar. I will make a point to look for you.

I met with Dr Wagner today. I will be attending the meeting tomorrow night. My consultation is on Wednesday. I am soooooo excited.

I can't wait for Monday!!!!:thumbup: I am calling everyone the first thing in the morning. I want a appointment schedule!!! I don't care for what... anything will do. :thumbup: I want to feel like I am on my way. I am going to have to get aggressive. Wish me luck.

The letter states: According to the Federal BX benefit department. Bariatric surgery is a covered benefit under your policy. Upon completion of the program a request for authorization for the surgery will be submitted to BX. I will forward your application to Nancy and shee will contact you to set up an appointment. This was from Gail King. I guess on Monday it will be my turn to torture them :tongue2: I can't wait until the 11th to hear all about the consultation. :thumbup:

Trish, I got the letter today. All it states is that my Insurance company (FED BlueX) will pay for it. That they would submit it to the insurance company after I complete the program.That I should be expecting a call from Nancy to set up the consultation. I called at 4:30 today. I asked if I could set up the appointment but she said that Nancy will call me. I was so happy to get the letter but I feel it was a bit of a let dowm :tongue2:

Hi Vegwannbe, I also spoke with Deb on Wednesday. She said I was accepted and would send out a letter telling me what to do next. Now I am a little concern because she never said anything calling. Lwtter didn't come in yesterday. I am hoping today. You must be excited about the consultation. I want to know everything!!! LOL Rose

Hi. Has anyone who attended the May 14 session hear back from the surgeon's office yet? I dropped off my application two weeks ago day and was hoping I would hear something by now. I think I will call tomorrow. Welcome aboard, Dover :eek:

We are all fat. This is the reason why we are here. I have a friend that had the gastric bypass done in Portsmouth last June. She has lost over 100 pounds. She loved the doctors in Portsmouth. My sister also had the gastric bypass two years ago and lost 109 pounds. My sister's operation by done at the Lawrence Hospital in MA. I am hoping that I hear from the doctor's office next week.

Hi Deb, I am also in the early stage. I am waiting to hear back from the surgeon. I guess they review the application and check out your insurance. I am very anxious to hear back. I lived in the Lakes Region for 20 years. I lived in Sanbornton. I originally come from Boston (North End). I went from city girl to country girl. Is there a hospital in the Lakes Region that does the Lap Band?

HI Moe, I know exactly how you feel. I was nervous but excited now. I am ready. I have a friend that had the gastric bypass done last June by Dr. Paciulli. She came to visit me at work today. I was soooooooo jealous how great she looks. LOL She has lost 100 pounds. She said not to worry that they will call within a week or two. I agree with you. I just want to get the ball rolling. That would be wonderful if you can get it done by the end of July. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Let me know when you hear from them. I will keep you posted also. Rose

Hi Wendy, Oh my... You have lost 41 pounds in two months. Congratulations!! That is unbelievable. You really make me excited about this. How many fills have you had?
