DebbyC64 reacted to Hrsnjs in When did you really start to see results?All.the.time. I'm three months out on the 22nd and I'm a super slow loser. Have lost 28lbs since surgery. Lost 76 before surgery so my body just wants to hold onto everything. 45 to go to get to "goal", and 70 to get to ideal body weight. I watch others losing massive weight and feel like I'm failing. I'm sticking to the plan though, and the surgeon is happy. Says since I started at lower BMI it's ok that this is slow. All my contacts morbid conditions are resolved except for sleep apnea. I have gone down three clothing sizes and two ring sizes. I've lost 36". I feel better. I need to stop seeing the scale as the main indication of weight loss. SO...today my hubby hid the scale. I'm only weighing every four weeks, at the request of my surgeon. I think without checking on it several times a day I'll concentrate more on the process and what I'm supposed to do rather than the scale. Wish me luck!! Hang in there...you're not alone in this feeling. [emoji171]

DebbyC64 reacted to LBwPCOS in Hunger PainsAre you sure they are hunger pains or pains from not eating when you used to eat? I know there are times after I’ve eaten where my Tum says I’m hungry but my brain says these pains are not hunger related - try drinking water and keeping up more fluids - if not working talk to your doctor / call the office and discuss your concerns
-
DebbyC64 reacted to GreenTealael in Hunger PainsIt may be reflux or head hunger, but some people swear it's regular hunger... Woman in my support group hammered the NUT until she accelerated her stage to soft foods and was finally not starving anymore...
Use ever tool you can to defeat it, while staying on plan. Warm liquids, can be more satisfying than cold and adding protein powder or shakes to tea/coffee/cocoa will go a long way...
And contact your team, as always, to clarify anything we can't help with ❤

DebbyC64 got a reaction from GreenTealael in Hunger PainsI thought after surgery I wouldn’t have as strong of hunger pains. I think they are stronger now and more often. Anyone else notice this? -
DebbyC64 reacted to GradyCat in Hunger PainsNo, I just 5.5 weeks post-op and while hungry every 3 hours, it hasn't been "pain" or extreme hunger. I can only eat 2 oz at a time, just more frequently. But sometimes it's "head hunger" and not really "stomach hunger"
-
DebbyC64 reacted to Oct517 in Hunger PainsAre you sure they are hunger pains? More often than not it is too much acid in your stomach being mistaken for hunger. I have experienced zero hunger pains (growling stomach) but have experienced a ton of discomfort from excess acid. Try taking an acti-acid and seeing if it helps!
