  1. I have had the urge to start trying a very slow run on the treadmill, but I am afraid to. Now don't laugh- but when I just walk on the treadmill, I have to hold on because I feel out of balance when I'm not holding on and am afraid of falling. This has made me afraid to even try a slow jog. I keep picturing myself getting tangled in my own feet and wiping out. Any thoughts?
  2. I don't think the time matters, as long as you are doing it. But I don't think working out on an empty stomach would be good. When I did a couple of personal trainer sessions I was told to eat something about half an hour before the workout. And if not eat, then at least drink a glass of milk.
  3. I still have heel pain off and on, but it is GREATLY improved, and I am hoping it will completely disappear when I reach goal. In the meantime though, I found some great supports at Wal-Mart. It is a loop, I guess is the best way to describe it, of stiff elastic. It is about 2 inches wide. You just slip it on your foot. Between those, good inserts and stretching exercises - I am good to go! Take care, Joanne
  4. I used Dr. David Kim at North Hills Hospital. He is great and so is his staff, especially Pam, his coordinator, and John his PA. Everyone just loves them! http://nhhbariatric.com/
  5. If you are still looking: Dr. David Kim at Nort Hills Hospital Bariatric Center is super nice. They have a staff that is dedicated exclusively for bariatric surgery. Good Luck, Joanne
