Thanks that makes me feel good about my decision to only go down to 145lbs because the way I carry my weight I’ll probably look a 130lbs. I’ve also lost 32-inches all over in this 5 months. 

Hello BP pals my surgery date was 09-07/18 HW: 208; SW: 199.9; CW: 159; GW: was 136lbs but subject to change due to how I carry my weight I look thin now so maybe GW: will be 145lbs. Here are my progress pictures but still losing. The collage pics were from beginning to like the 3rd month and the single picture is two days old.

Wow, you look amazing. You look tiny. I was 140 when I got married (same height) and you look smaller than that.

You were alone with them in your life you just didn’t know it, sometimes if not most it’s jealousy and for those that actually do care and just don’t understand they will either come around are they just weren’t meant to be on this journey with you, sometimes when GOD remove people from our lives we don’t understand it and it hurt but, in time you will be thankful that he (GOD) LOVES you enough to remove the Toxic ppl from your life. It’s like A non curable disease it can snatch the life right out of you don’t let it you’ll be fine and make new friends. Don’t worry be Happy ?!

Kbrigde , I had RNY 9/7/18 and four four weeks I suffered terrible issues with just a cap of water and so I called my doctor and by this time I was in tears because I mean a simple sip of water caused me terrible PAIN so they took me off of Pecid and put me on Omeperzol and I mean within minutes, I mean minutes of taking it 20-30 minutes I could sip water and eat without all that pain. I’m only taking it for 2 months but by then the doctor said my stomach should be ok. Maybe you can talk with your doctor about this, if they don’t think it’s anything else.

Was able to fit into goal shirt today (pink) and the birthday was before surgery the rest are 6weeks post op and 30 pounds down

Oh thank you so much for you response I wasn't sure what this was I was getting ready to call the doctor's office but if its normal I will wait it out as I said its not unbearable, nothing that simple tylenol doesn't take care of for me.

Bypass surgery was yesterday the 7th all went well just a little issue with urinating but, the doctor says it’s common but, it will get better, minimal pain no pain pump just a pill of Tordal if in pain. Overall it’s going well.

This is something I would not worry about it right now. It’s self defeating so close out from surgery.
There is a tendency to regain 10-15% for the average person from their lowest weight. So say for instance you lost weighed 275 pounds before surgery. Then after surgery, you lost weight to 150 pounds, for a loss of 125 pounds. Then you gained weight of ten percent...12-13 pounds. Now you weigh 162-163 pounds. In the grand scheme of things you are so much healthier having lost so much weight, those few pounds are inconsequential.
Most of the people you see that have huge amounts of regain, say 40, 50, 100 pounds, are those that have gone back to unhealthy eating habits. They are snacking on junk, drinking soda, eating fast food. They perhaps did not address issues they had with food before surgery or during their main weight loss phase, so were unable to maintain their weight loss or maybe even make goal.
Why you would worry about this now and allow it to give you a “defeating” feeling eludes me. Large amounts of regain do not have to be a self fulfilling prophecy. People that eat healthy, exercise, and stick to their programs are maintaining the majority of their weight lost.

If you are in the hospital, why not ask the experts who are there, rather than us online amateurs? Early diets and progressions vary all over the map, but your medical team will know what is within normal expectations for their practice.

Hi everyone,
I had surgery May 7th. I’m currently down about 75lbs.
At the beginning I had major buyers remorse, nothing felt right everything was new (but not in a good way).
I am just now starting to notice changes In myself in pictures.
I have recently been out of town for school. I didn’t need a seat belt extender on the plane. I walked through the airport no problem, I walked to and from university every day, I was able to fit in the seats with no worry. The coolest thing is last night I went whale watching, everyone gets a coat...it fit!
Never before would I have fit in to some sort of standard issue clothing.
I’m not even sure why I’m making this post, except that I’m so excited! It took a while for me to notice things changing, but they finally did. And you are the people who will understand!

That is a terrible way to think going into surgery smh wow. Positive thinking is what you need to do. Slogan: Change you mind change your life.
