Sounds like a chat with BF needs to happen and also sounds like your doing everything right. Maybe start counting calories and see what your intake is and then go see a dietician/nutritionist for some ideas:) This isn't about being wrong or right, it's about experiencing your new body and seeing how it works, be kind to yourself my dear, you've made a lot of courageous changes in the past few months. <3

Suuuuuuuuper!... So this evening in a rush to eat I ate my food faster,... Much faster then I should have and you guessed it... Dumping occurred.
Silly silly move Mr. Potato Head!... My poor wife who had never seen me dump before was concerned so I took this as an opportunity to teach her as to the finer points of dumping.
The good thing is that it wasn't the food as te moment I felt better(which was about 5 minutes later, the benefits of being a fast dumper) I was able to return to my meal and finish it off without any problems once I slowed down.
Oh well, live and learn ... And learn some more, or again

Today is my 50th birthday! I am 10 weeks post op. I am down almost 50 pounds. I feel as good as I did at 35. I have more energy than I have had in a long while. This surgery was the best thing I could have done for myself. It's not been easy and I have had ups and downs but it is all worth it. I'm so looking forward to the rest of my journey. Happy birthday to me! :-)

I agree with Jewel. This is a new start. I had RNY in 2/2004 but took on bad habits after losing 130lbs and gained 80lbs back. So I'm on my 2nd chance for a healthy life and I AM going to be successful. It's a mind set. The cooking can be learned. Lots of great cook books and food network is a great help. Websites are helpful too.
This site is a great support. We all want to succeed and are here for each other! Welcome!

I like the Oh Yeah! Premade Protein shakes. They have several flavors. I get them at The Vitaman Shoppe. Also another premade called. RTD51. It's 51 grams of protein. I like the chocolate.
You just have to try a few until you find something you like.

Same for me. I just eat the amount in supposed to then stop. My surgeon today told me to eat more solid foods. However I am 6 weeks out so I am allowed chicken and steak etc.

Saw the surgeon today and I guess I lost track of time. Here I was thinking I'm 2 months post op. but I'm only 6 weeks. Lol. I know I know. Technicality.
Anyway, I am down 24lbs and he asked me if I felt full. I told him now. He told me I needed to start eating more solid foods. Like chicken breast. ( not the mushy chicken salad I make). And steak. Etc. I have been a little scared to try it.

So, slice a tomato. 1 cm thick. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic and mozerella cheese on top and put in the oven - broil til your liking!! Yummy!!
